DESIGN.
J. N. BULL. HALTER- TRIMMING.
N0. 19,676. Patented'Mar. 4, 1890.
wimsses X M UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JEREMIAH N. BULL, OF SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A HALTER-TRIMMING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,676, dated March 4, 1890.
Application filed January 25, 1890- Serial No 838,130. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JEREMIAH N. BULL, of Springfield, in the county of Hampden and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Halter-'Irimmings, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan view of a halter-trimming showing my design. Fig. 2 is an edge view thereof.
The leading feature of my design consists in a substantially anchor-shaped trimming terminating at one end in two bars standing at an acute angle to each other, and having extending between said bars and the opposite end thereof two additional bars also standing at an acute angle to each other, each of said bars having a central longitudinal opening therein extending throughout nearly the entire length thereof.
The letters a a designate the two bars formiug one end of the trimming, which bars stand at an acute angle to each other, their adjacent ends being joined and their opposite ends being rounded, as shown. Centrally located within said bars are the openings a, extending throughout the greater portion of the length thereof, said openings having parallel sides and rounded ends.
The letter Z) designates a ring forming the opposite end of the trimming, and c 0 two bars extending between said ring and the bars a, said bars 0 c standing at an acute angle to each other and joining the bars a a short distance from the rounded ends of the latter. Centrally located within said bars a are the openings 0', extending from end to end thereof, said openings having parallel sides, and having the ends thereof adjacent to bars a. rounded and the opposite ends thereof curved to correspond with the circumferential line of ring I). In the central portion of the trimming is the elongated sub stantially diamond-shaped opening d, the sides of which are formed by the bars act and c c. The outer edge of bars a a is elevated slightly above the plane of the face of the trimming, as shown in Fig. 2, and the line of juncture between said bars curved from the lower to the upper face of the trimming, as shown; but these features are not material to the design.
The ring b can be replaced by loops of other configuration, also, without materially affecting the design, the leading features of which have been hereinbefore stated.
Having thus fully described my new and original design, what I claim is The design for a halter-trimming herein shown and described, the same comprising two bars standing at an acute angle to each other and forming one end of the trimming, a loop-shaped figure forming the opposite end of the trimming, and two bars standing at an acute angle to each other and joining said first-mentioned bars to said loop-shaped figure, each of said bars having a central Iongitudinal opening extending throughout the greater portion of the length thereof, as set forth.
JEREMIAH N. BULL.
