DESIGN FOR A DUST AND CINDER GUARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,850, dated May 23, 1899.
Application filed April 29, 1899. Serial No. 715,061. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it may (MIME/7'11:
Be it known that LJonN HENRY REvNoLns, a citizen of the United States, residing atTroy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Dust and Cinder Guard; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the in vention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to a design for a dust and cinder guard; and the design consists of the following essential characteristics: a body in the general form of a triangular prism, hollow, having two closed concave faces,along the non-adjacent edges of whicluwhen viewed from the face thereof, are seen a plurality of openings with concentric bosses in the Wall of the body, and having one open side, at the longitudinal edges of which, when viewed from that side, are seen straight continuous flanges and at intervals bosses having edges flush with said flanges, and the ends of said prismatic body being inclined in the same general direction, as seen in the accompanying drawings, wherein Figure 1 is a side view of the guard. Fig. 2 is a face view. Fig. 3 is an end view, and Fig. 4 is a section taken on the line 4 4 in Fig. 2.
