ALBERT II. DEAN AND ROBERT F. VEIR, OF BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT.
DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-LOCK CASING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,226, dated February 1, 1898.
Application filed November 20, 1897. Serial No, 659,336. Term of t nt '7 rs,
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, ALBERT ll. DEAN and ROBERT F. \VEIR, citizens of the United States, residing at Bridgeport, in the county of Fairfield and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a certain newand original Design for a Casing for Bicycle-Locks; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the in- IO vention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The accompanying drawing shows a perspective view of our newly-designed casing T5 for bicycle-locks.
The leading features of our design consist, first, in the shape of the casing, which presents to view an elongated narrow rectangularshaped body surmounting curved domelike sides-that is to say, this casing has sides which are curved in cross-section and at their inner or approaching edges, adjoin a raised elongated narrow rectangular-shaped body, while the ends of said body and of the curved portion of the casing terminate in and are bounded by plain surfaces in the same vertical plane.
The second feature of our design consists in the plates extended from the sides of the casing at the bases thereof and provided with elongated openings therethrough and having beveled orinclined lateral edges.
1 is the elongated narrow rectangularshaped body, and 2 are the curved sides of the casing, which are surmounted at their inner or approaching edges by said body. 3 are the plain surfaces, which terminate and bound the ends of said body and the curved portions 2 of the casing in the same vertical plane.
4 are the plates, which extend from the sides of the casing at the bases thereof; 5, the elongated openings therethrough, and 6 the beveled or inclined lateral edges.
What we claim is The design for a bicycle-lock casing, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof we afiix our signa tures in presence of two witnesses.
