UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
SIMON \V. \VARDWELL, JR, OF BOSTON, AND FRANK MOSSBERG, OF A'TTLEBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A WHISTLE-CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,205, dated April 16, 1895.
Application filed March 18, 1895. Serial No. 542,262- Term of patent 3% years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Beit known that we, SIMON W. WARDWELL, Jr., residing at Boston, in the county of Sutfolk, and FRANK MOSSBERG, residing at Attleborough, in the county of Bristol, State of Massachusetts, citizens of the United States, have invented a certain Design for Whistle Cases, of which the following is a specification.
Our invention is a new and original design for whistle cases, and in the accompanying drawings, we have illustrated a substantial embodiment of our design, in which Figure 1, is a perspective view of the whistle case. Fig. 2, is a top plan view, and Fig. 3, is a side view of the same.
As represented in the drawings, the case may be said to practically consist of two portions, the main or body portion, and the mouth portion. The main or. body portion A, is practically cylindrical, and merges into the mouth portion 13, the top and bottom of which are contracted toward each other to form an elongated or substantially elliptical opening I). The top and bottom of the mouth portion are curved, as shown at c, c, forming concave surfaces with their convex sides adjacent each other, and the mouth piece is expanded laterally, forming convex curved portions (1, d.
The essential features of our design consist in the substantially cylindrical body portion having the contracted top and bottom, forming the mouth portion, the mouth portion having an elongated or elliptical opening.
What we claim is The design for a whistle case substantially as described and shown.
In testimony whereof we have signed our names to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
SIMON \V. WARDVVELL, JR. FRANK MOSSBERG. Witnesses:
CARL CHRISTENSEN, HARRY E. CARPENTER.
