MARY E. BONTE, Ol CINCINNATI, OlIIO.
DESIGN FOR A MEAT-TENDERER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,841, dated July 28, 1896.
Application filed June 9, 1896. Serial No. 594,889. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, MARY E. BONTE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Meat-Tenderer; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
My invention relates to a new and original design for meat-tenderers; and it will be fully understood from the following description and claim, when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a side elevation of a meat-tenderer, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is an end elevation of the same.
Referring by numeral to the said drawings, 1 indicates the body of the nieat-tendere r. This body 1 is of a general rectangular fOl'lll in outline, and it is curved in a concave-convex manner in the direction of its length with its concave side uppermost, as shown in Fig. l, and is curved in a like manner in the direction of its width, as shown in Fig. 2. This body 1 is provided with depending teeth 2; and these teeth, which are of a circular form in cross-section and have conical lower ends, are inclined laterally and downwardly from the under convex side of the body 1, as shown in Fig. 1.
3 indicates arms which are connected to and extend upwardly from the opposite ends of the body 1. These arms are diminished in width from the body 1 upwardly to their upper ends 5, which are of circular form when viewed in end elevation, and their edges are convex, as illustrated in Fig. 2, from the body 1 to the said reduced portion 4. The said arms 3 are straight when the device is viewed in side elevation, and their upper ends 5 are seen to be of an increased thickness and of truncated-cone shape.
6 indicates the handle of the tenderer, which extends between the end portions 5 of the arms 3. This handle 6 is of a circular form in cross-section and is of a greater diameter at its middle than at its ends, as shown in Fig. 1, and is also of a greater diamcterat its middle than the end portions 5 of the arms 3, as shown in Fig. 2.
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s
The design for a meat-tenderer, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aliix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
