SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,347, dated April 7, 1896.
Application filed March 6, 1896. Serial No 582,008. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
lc it known that I, IIENRY L. WALLACE, of \Vallingford, in the countyof New Haven and State of Connecticut, hay'e invented a new Design for the Handles of Spoons, Forks, &c.; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents, in the figure, a face VlCW.
This invention relates to a design for the handles of spoons, forks, &e., and the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation as shown in the accompanying illustration.
As herein shown, the handle gradually expands from the bowl to the tip. The face of the handle is ornamented by a border of scrolls A, which increase in size from the contracted portion of the handle toward both ends and inelose a plain panellZ. At the tip the outer ends of the scrolls form a scalloped edge. lietween the inner edge of the border and the panel 13 is a row of heading C, the beads of which contract in size as they amnroach the narrow portion of the handle.
I claim* The design for the handles of spoons, forks, &e., as herein shown and described.
