Description

DESIGN.
G. M. FINN.
CAKE 0? SOAP.
No. 20,775. Patented May 26, 1891.
INVENTOR WITNESSES:
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICEO GEORGE M. FINN, OF SYRACUSE, NE\V YORK.
DESIGN FOR A CAKE OF SOAP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,775, dated May 26, 1891.
Application filed April 27,1891. Serial No. 390,689- Term of patent 14 years.
To (LZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE M. FINN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a (Jake of Soap, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a face View of my design, and
Fig. 2 is a line representing the face configuration of the design. The leading feature of the design consists of a cake of soap having a pair of panels of unequal area arranged side by side, with the short side of one adjacent to the long side of the other.
A is the panel of greater area, formed, essentially, rectangular-in outline with a rounding edge a and a depressed central panel (1/, formed with rounding extremities. B is the panel of less area, which is also essentially rectangular in form and arranged with one of its longer sides I) adjacent to the short side a of the panel A. This arrangen'lent of panels of unequal area with the long side of one panel adjacent to the short side of the other forms a pleasing and novel contrastto the eye, which greatly adds to the appearance of the cake of soap, rendering the same noticeable, unique, and salable.
Vhat I claim is The design for a cake of soap, the same consisting of a pair of panels of unequal area arranged side by side, with the short side of one adjacent to the long side of the other, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name, in the presence of two attesting witnesses, at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, in the State of Xew York, this 23d day of April. 1891.
GEORGE M. FINN.
