SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,280, dated November 1 1, 1890.

Application filed October 10, 1890. Serial No. 367,632- Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be itknown that I, HENRY V. PARTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Yonkers, lVestchester county, New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification,

leaves and branches. The border B is composed of an inner margin of conventionalized gem'shaped forms, a central portion having a large group of flower and leaf forms, all resting on a groundwork of shaded leaves and branches, and an outer margin.

\Vbat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, substantially as shown.

2. The design for carpets, consisting of the border 13, substantially as shown.

3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
