DESIGN FOR A CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,259, dated November 4, 1890.

Application filed October 10, 1890. Serial No. 867.64.1- Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WALTER BLACKBURN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Yonkers, Westchester county, State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figuresherein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face View of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of sprays or groups of conventionalized leaf and flower forms on curving stems or branches and lying on a shaded ground.
