SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,764, dated May 19, 1891.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, PAUL PIGNOT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hastings, \Vestehester county,New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and the border B. The body A consists of groups of conventionalized flower, leaf, and fern forms PAUL PIGIO'I.
