Be it known that I, HENRY W. PARTUN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Yonkers, \Vcstchcster county, New York, have in vented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet, showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and the border B. The body A consists of groups of flower, leaf, and branch forms intertwined by leaf and stem forms upon a shaded ground.
