SPECIFICATION forming part; of Design No. 20,628, dated March 24, 1891.

To all whom it may (o/worn:

lie it known that I, \VALTER THOMAS, a

citizen of the I'nitedStates, residing at Yonkers, \Vestchestcr county, New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, ref- 3 erencc being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet, showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and the border B. The body A consists of branches of leaf and flower forms in groups scattered upon a shaded and faintlyornamented ground.
