To all whom t may concern.-

Be it known that I, HENRY W. PARTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Yonkers, XVestchester county, New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same. I,

The invent-ion relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel conguration and grouping of figures herein specically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face View of a carpet, showing my new design.

My design consists of the body A and the border B.' The body A consists of Water-lily '.orms and conventionalized lily-leaf forms and entwining stems scattered upon a shaded ground. The border B consists of Water-lily forms and conventionalized lily-leaf forms and entwining stems scattered upon a shaded y ground and of a marginal shading.
