DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
' SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,267, dated November 4, 1890.
Application filed October 10, 1890. Serial No. 367,624. Term of patent 3V3 years.
To all whom. it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY W. lixn'rox, a citizen of the United States, residing at Yonk ers, \Vestehestcr county, New York, have invented a new and original Design for (arpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to thoaccompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.
The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.
The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.
My design consists of a body A and a border 1). The body A is composed of a large group of somewhat rose-shaped flowers and bud forms resting on a groundwork of shaded branch-work and leaves. At irregular intervals are smaller groups of somewhat roseshapcd [lower forms. The border I; is composed of an inner and an outer margin of conventionalized gem forms. The center portion of the border contains large groups of somewhat rose-shaped flower and bud forms resting on a groundwork of shaded branch-work and leaves.
\Vhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, substantially as shown.
The design for carpets, consisting of the border 13, substantially as shown.
3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
