To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY W. My invention has relation to umbrellastands or receptacles for holding umbrellas, canes, or the like, and has for its object the production of a new and original design which will present ahighly ornamental and attractive appearance.
Myinvention consists in an umbrella-stand of cylindrical shape, with a suitable base or bottom and a top, the main portion or body of such stands between said top and bottom having or being provided with ribs or ridges radiating from a common point in the center of said body and extending to the edges thereof at equal distances apart, the spaces between said ridges enlarging in Width as they lengthen and being slightly depressed or eonoaved, the effect being substantially a sun-burst, and the appearance of the body,
when viewed in cross-section, being wave-like or undnlatory.
In the drawings, D represents the body or main port-ion of the umbrella-stand; d, the radial ribs or ridges, and d the concavities or depressions, said ribs radiating from the center of the length of the body D, as shown.
E represents the flaring top or dome, and F the flaring base or bottom with the round moldings f, said top and bottom being seen-red to the body D at e and f, respectively.
