Be it known that I, ARTHUR L. l-IALLIDAY, of New York, county and State of New York, have invented and produced by my own in- 5 dnstry, genius, efforts, and expense a new and original Design for a Carpet, of which the following is a correct description, reference heinghadtothe annexed photograph, which rep resents a face view of my new carpet.

10 This invention relates to a new ornamentation of a carpet, oil-cloth, or similar fabric; and it consists of the novel grouping and outlines of figures hereinafter described.
