DESIGN FOR A FONT OF PRINTING-TYPE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,586, dated February 6, 1883.

To all whom it may concern 7 Be it known that I, WILLIAM W. JAoKsoN, (assignor to MACKELLAR, SMITHS & J 0RDAN,) of the city and county of Philadelphia, Penn- 5 sylvanie, have invented and produced a new and original Design foraFontofPr-inting-Type, of which the following is a specification.

The nature of my design is clearly shown in the accompanying typographic impression, to 1b which reference is made; audit consists of an ornamental text-letter the face of which is ornamented by a series of light lines following the configuration of the letter. The letters 0 G O Q are ornamented about centrally to the 15 right of the left-hand up and down portion by the rhomboidal shaded ornament, as shown, while the rest of the letters, except the letters S and X, are ornamented upon the left by the ter of the design is preserved, save that the 2 flourishes, rhornboidal ornaments, and light vertical lines are omitted.

Having now described my invention, I claim as new- The design for a font of printing-type, as 30 shown and described.
