UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EDUAltl) LEISSNER, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR WALL-PAPER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,958, dated June 6, 1882,
Application filed April 2t, 18%. Term of patent 3g years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDUARD LEISSNER, of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Wall-Paper and Similar Fabrics, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for wall-paper and similar fabrics; and itconsists in the novel grouping and configuration of parts hereinafter more fully described.
The accompanying photograph illustrates a face view of a wall-paper bearing my new design.
A is a. band running along the upper border of the design and ornamented with a row of head like figures along each edge, between which are set figures a, composed of concentric beaded circles and alternating with looped and hangin g rows of beads along the band A.
. The stripe H contains the figure Gin the center of the design. This figure consists of a scalloped circular figure, having on each side lhereofa bud-like figure, d,and having projecting from it the stem 1', bearing leaves on either sideanda tnlip-likefloweron its top. The figure f resembles a. bush or plant-,with regular leaves and large tulip-like flowers, overtopped by a tulip-like flower, h, supported on a central stem. The figure D is composed of a circular figure, e, from which projects a long tulip-like flower, g. The figure E resembles a plant, having a central stein, in, from which project a number of branches or stems, each bearing a flower at its end, circular and tulip-shaped flowers alternatin g, the flower n at the end of one stem being composed of a. series of overlapping nearlycircular leaves. Around these figures D, E, G, and f runs a beaded band, conforming substantially to the shape of the figures D and G,
and the parts of these various figures are all made up of series of small bead like figures placed close together, so that the whole efl'ect is as if they were formed of closel y-strun g rows of beads.
The band B, below the stripe II, is bordered on either edge by beaded lines, and contains an ornamentation ot' a series of beaded circles, b, with beaded arches between them, which alternately touch the top and the bottom of the beadedlines, between which the band B is contained.
I claim- 1. The design for wall-paper, consisting the band A, substantially as shown.
2. The design for wall-paper, consisting the figure D, substantially as shown.
3. The design for wall-paper, consisting the fignref, substantially as shown.
4. The design for wall-paper, consisting the figure G, substantially as shown.
, 5. The design for wall-paper, consisting the figure E, substantially as shown.
6. The design for wall-paper, consisting of the figures E,G,andfisubstantiallyas shown.
7. The design for wall-paper, consisting of the stripe H, containing figures D, e, g, E, m, n, G, d, i,f, and h. substantially as shown.
8. The design for wallpaper, consisting of the band B, containing figure 11, substantially as shown.
9. The design ful wall-paper, consisting of the band A, containing figure a,stripe H, containing figures D E Gfeg m n (1 iii, and band B, containing figure b, substantially as shown.
