UNITED STATES PATENT OEEIGE.
ESEK BUSSEY, OF TROY, NEV YORK, ASSIGNOR OF ONE-HALF OF HIS RIGHT TO CHARLES A. MGLEOD, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR HEATING-STOVES.
Specilicntion forming pnrt of Design No. 11,525, dated November 25, 1879; application filed June 25, 1879. [Term of patent 7 years, l
.To all 'whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ESEK BUssEY, of the city of Troy, county of Rensselaer, and State of New York, have invented a new Design for Heating- Stoves, of which the following is a specification.
My invention of e design for heating-stoves consists in combining with the rectangular ashpit section of a heatingstove, for ornamental eect, two foot-rails, one of them being placed at the top, or near the top, and the other at the bottom, or near the bottoni, of the ashpit section of the stove,
In the accompanying illustration, which forms a part of this specification, there is shown a heatin g-stove having the base B, rectan guiar ash-pit section O, upper foot-rail, A, and lower foot-rail, D.
The two foot-rails and the ash-pit section of the stove may have the surface ornamentation shown; or other ornamentation may be em-` ployed, and the same general effect will be prol duced by the combined elements constituting my invention.
I am well aware that one foot-ruil has been employed to ornament a stove-base; but the location of en additional one above the other, and in combination with it, produces im entirely diii'erent impression upon the eye from that made to appear where a single rail was thus used.
Having thus described my invention of a design, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for the ornamentation of the ashpit section of a heating-stove,consistingof the upper and lower foot-mil and intermediate rectangular form ofthe ash-pit section, as shown and described.
Signed at Troy, New York, this 23d day of June, 187 9.
