BRACELET.
No.10,159 PatentedAug. 21,1877.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JULIUS HACKENBERG, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A BRACELET.
Specification forming part of Design No. 10,1 59, dated August 21, 1877; application led July 9, 1877. [Term of Patent 3i years.]
To all lwhom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JU'LIUS HAOKENBERG, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for a Bracelet, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my design is fully shown in the accompanying illustration, to which reference is made.
The object of my invention is to furnish for that class of bracelets made of a spring or other band of hard rubber, and for breastpins and similar articles, a neat and striking design, which consists in arranging on the solid band of the bracelet parallel ribs or edges and intermediate concaved or indented bands.
In the drawing, A represents a bracelet or similar article, of hard rubber or other suitable material, the upper surface of which is divided by a number of parallel ribs, B, that run either parallel to the longitudinal axis of -the bracelet, or at right angles or diagonally thereto, the parts between the ribs being dished or conca/ved, so that the ribs form raised dividing or meeting lines of the adjoining concaved or indented bands.
The ribs and concaved bands impart to the bracelet, especially when polished, a bright and striking appearance that relieves the dead ness or monotony of the sheet rubber usually used for bracelets and articles of this class.
I claim as my invention- The design for a bracelet composed of the parallel diagonal ribs or meeting-edges and intermediate concaved or indented portions or bands, substantiallyas described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
