RIBBON-RE CEPTACLE To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, EMIL ANIsHANsLI, a r citizen of the United States, residing at New 1' York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Ribbon-Receptacles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a l full, clear, and exact description of the inven tion, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in ribbon receptacles employed in conjunction with looms and it consists of a receptacle for the ribbon which is especially adapted for being readily placed in its operative position to receive the ribbon and as quickly removed therefrom, whereby the finished ribbon will be safely housed and protected duringthe process of weaving.

The prime object of my invention is to provide a convenient form of receptacle for a ribbon weaving loom, said receptacle being so formed that it may be folded to occupy a small amount of space, thereby permitting it to be readily introduced into position to receive the ribbon, inasmuch as the position occupied by my improved folding receptacle is usually very inaccessible because of parts of the machinery and frame work being in the way. 7

Other objects and advantages will be hereinafter referred to and 'more particularly pointed out in the claims. i

it would be impossible to introduce a box except that it be formed of folding members and I have, therefore, provided my improved receptacle or ribbon box, comprising the floor section 10, having the end walls 11 and 12 rigidly secured thereto and upon said rigid end sections I hinge the end wall extensions 11" and 12 to the sections 11 and 12 by any preferred number of hinges, as indicated by the numeral 13. the rear wall section 14 rigidly secured to the bottom section 10. I also hinge to the upper edge of the rigid rear wall section 14 the extension 15 held in 'place by the hinges 16.

In addition to the section 15, I also provide the extension 17, hinged to the upper edge of the section 15 by means of the hinges 18 and in order to hold the sections 17 in an elevated position, I provide the button or keeper 19 attached in tiguous part of the loom frame, as upon the bar 20. The front wall of the receptacle 1 is extended upwardly to form'a stop 21 to contact with the beam 7 of the loom frame, as the receptacle is thus provide for limiting its insertion in place. It is, therefore, obvious that I have provided a very convenient form of receptacle which will protect and keep the ribbon disposed therein in condition, whereby the finished ribbon may be readily withdrawn without coming in contact with any oily portion of the loom.

In placing my invention in position upon the loom, I first fold the rear walls 'down 95 against the floor section 10 and then fold the end walls down on the rear wall when the box and the ribbon contained beneath said parts may be withdrawn beneath the beam 7.
