SHIRT-BOSOM. y

Specification of Letters Patent No. 5,019, dated March 13, 1847.

T0 all whom t may concern Be it known that I, MADELIN TAssrE, of the city of Brooklyn, county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented and manufactured a new and improved false shirtbosom, designated by me as a self-adjusting bosom, to be secured by a yoke and elastic straps, as appears by the accompanying drawings, making part of this speciicatiom,

and described and designated by letters as follows:

The front or bosom A, A, with a button at each lower corner where the same descends to the waist Gr, G. A collar partly attached to the upper part of the bosom to encircle the neck the detached end with an eye in it to alix to a button in front C, C. A yoke or two pieces are attached to said bosom near the shoulder, each of which passes over the shoulder and meet and button on the back with eyes and buttons B, D, B, D. An elastic strap from each part of said yoke and attached thereto by an eye and button E, E, descends the back to the waist and from the end of each of said straps at the waist is attached an elastic strap running laterally one end of each attaching to the buttons G at the lower corner of bosom in front and the other ends buckling at the back F, G, F, Gr, and which .secures and adjusts the bosom and keeps it so adjusted.

What I claim as my kinvention andimprovement and 'desire to secure Letters Patent for is- The self adjusting quality or property the bosom'possessesby the addition and application of the yoke and elastic straps above described and which belong to no other false bosom.
