  • the holding part 4 has a cylindrical external surface, it can in a simple manner be rotatably mounted in the centrifuge housing and sealed off.

  • a centrifuge 1 comprising a housing 2, a drum 3, rotatable mounted in said housing 2, and a stripping knife 6 arranged in said drum; a knife carrier carrying said stripping knife; said knife carrier including a shaft; a holding part 4 in which said shaft is joumalled; said holding part being mounted to rotate on said housing; the axis ofsaid shaft and the axis of rotation 8 of said holding part being parallel to, and apart from each other, said axis being parallel with the axis of rotation of the drum; a guiding part 12, 12 reacting between said housing and said knife carrier; first guide means 10 to guide said guiding part so that the guiding part is translatorily displaceable relatively to said knife carrier along a first straight line; and second guide means 11, 11' to guide said guiding part so the guiding part is translatorily displaceable relatively to said housing along a second straight line; said straight lines having directions which differ from each other; each of said straight lines lying in a plane extending at right-angles to said shaft.
