IMPROVEMENT IN PANTALOONS AND OVERALLS.
Specification forming part-of Letters Patent No, 173,433, dated February 15,1876; application filed July 7, 1875.
fornia, have invented an Improvement in Pants and Overalls; and I do hereby declare the following description and accompanying drawings are suflicient to enable any person skilled in the art or science to which it most nearlyappertains to make and use my said invention or improvement Without further invention or experiment.
The object of my invention is to provide certain improvements in the construction of pants or overalls; and it consists in the formation of a pocket which is sewed upon the outside of the article in one piece with the button-stays, which are above it and the back or buckle strap, and by this I save much expense of labor and thread which is expended in sewing on separate pieces.
Referring to the accompanying drawings for a more complete explanation of my invention, Figure 1 is a side elevation of my device.
A is a pair of pants or overalls, such as are ordinarily made for rough work. The pocket B is cut out and stitched upon the outside of the pants, as shown.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
In a pair of pantaloons or overalls the piece B, having ears D D for button re-enforces, and extension C for a back-strap out in a single piece, and stiched to the outside of pantalocus or overalls, for forming a pocket thereon, as described.
