美國3,380,646揭示一種由可熱熔接塑膠材料製成之容器及一種藉由將塑膠材料之多個條帶或薄片熔接在一起以形成一容器使得該容器具有一經熔接封閉之封閉底部部分來生產該容器之方法。該容器之一開口頂部經塌陷及平坦化以提供一擠壓封閉頂部。
美國5,048,692揭示一種摺疊一或多次以形成一基本封閉件之袋子。一蓋片密封(flap seal)延伸跨越該摺疊組態。該蓋片密封下方之一撕條(string)用於撕開該蓋片密封且准許將該袋子展開。一拉鏈封閉提供一輔助包封。
美國2007/0292053 A1揭示一種由紙材料及塗佈有一熱熔黏合劑之一紙帶製成之袋子,其中該帶經摺疊以抵住該紙袋子之一前幅面黏合該熱熔黏合劑以提供一膠接紙對紙區段。該帶代替一多壁式紙袋子之一階梯式端。該階梯式端提供塗佈有熱熔黏合劑之一密封蓋片,其中該密封蓋片可在該紙袋子之前幅面上方摺疊並密封至該前幅面。
該熱熔黏合劑係藉由來自一熱空氣密封器裝備之一熱空氣流再活化。該裝備經設計以僅在3.18 cm(1.5英吋)寬度之預施加黏合劑上吹熱空氣,以致使該黏合劑至一熱活化黏合狀態。用於多壁式紙袋子之一熱空氣密封器裝備上之典型熱設定通常超出204.44℃(400℉)。然而,編織聚丙烯袋子將在大致148.89℃(300℉)處變形。存在修改該裝備以在一減小之熱活化溫度處密封編織聚合物袋子之需要。在用於編織聚合物袋子之一擠壓底部封閉件之開發期間,顯而易見需要修改通常密封多壁式紙袋子之熱空氣密封器裝備。
一種使用一系統用於封閉及密封自每一者皆由聚合物材料製成且在一個端處密封之多個袋子截取之袋子之一端之方法,其中該袋子在一第一幅面之一第一區段上具有黏合劑材料,且在該袋子之包括第一幅面之一第二區段、側袋摺之部分及一第二幅面之一部分之一階梯式構造上具有黏合劑材料,該方法包含:在該袋子已用內容物填充並已封閉、然後經壓摺以提供一摺疊線之後沿該系統之一熱空氣歧管輸送每一袋子,其中該熱空氣歧管具有一熱空氣室;藉由吹過穿過該熱空氣室之一背壁之空氣通道之熱空氣將第一幅面之第一區段上之黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態,且藉由吹過穿過該熱空氣室之一頂部壁之空氣通道之熱空氣將該袋子之階梯式構造上之黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態,其中將該黏合劑材料加熱至低於該聚合物材料之軟化點溫度之一溫度,於此溫度處在輸送該袋子之同時將該黏合劑材料熔至其黏合狀態;及沿該摺疊線摺疊該袋子,且隨後藉由施加壓力以使該袋子之階梯式構造上之黏合劑材料與該第一幅面之第一區段上之黏合劑材料接觸以形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封,此在輸送該袋子之同時密封該袋子之透過此端已用內容物填充該袋子之端。
在該方法中使用之一系統包含:自由聚合物材料製成且在一個端處密封之多個袋子中截取之一袋子,其中該袋子在一第一幅面之一第一區段上具有黏合劑材料,且該袋子在該袋子之一階梯式構造上具有黏合劑材料,且該袋子之該階梯式構造包含該第一幅面之一第二區段、側袋摺之部分及一第二幅面之一部分;一熱空氣歧管,以在該袋子已用內容物填充並已封閉且該袋子經壓摺以提供一摺疊線之後,將該袋子之一第一區段上之黏合劑材料加熱至一黏合狀態且將該袋子之階梯式構造上之黏合劑材料加熱至一黏合狀態;一刮板,用以在輸送該袋子時施偏壓於該袋子之階梯式構造以沿該歧管而行;該刮板之一尾端,用以摺疊該袋子以隨後一擠壓封閉設備施加夾緊壓力以形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封,此密封該袋子之已透過此端用內容物填充該袋子之該端。
一袋子之一實施例可在其自身上摺疊以形成一經摺疊之第一幅面且在該經摺疊之第一幅面上形成該黏合劑之一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
一袋子之一實施例在該可摺疊密封蓋片部分上具有黏合劑。
一袋子之一實施例具有比一第一幅面長之一第二幅面,其中該第二層熱活化黏合劑材料係在比該第一幅面長之第二幅面之一部分上。
一種製成一袋子之方法包含:在一第一幅面與一第二幅面之間形成一擠壓封閉袋子,在該第一幅面之一部分上施加一熱活化第一黏合劑層,在該第二幅面之一部分上施加一熱活化第二黏合劑層,其中該第一黏合劑層與該第二黏合劑層之熱活化溫度低於該聚合物材料之軟化點溫度,且在用內容物填充該袋子之後藉由在低於該聚合物材料之軟化點溫度之一溫度處施加熱來活化該第一黏合劑層及該第二黏合劑層,及擠壓封閉該袋子之端以迫使該等黏合劑層接觸且形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
該方法之一實施例包含:摺疊該袋子以在其自身上摺疊該第一幅面以迫使第二黏合劑層與該袋子之第一幅面上之第一黏合劑層接觸且形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
該方法之另一實施例包含:在該第一幅面上方摺疊該第二幅面之一蓋片部分以迫使第二黏合劑層接觸該袋子之第一幅面上之第一黏合劑層且形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
將用於諸如營養物質等顆粒狀或細磨材料(包含但不限於全穀粒及穀物粉、種子、幹寵物食品、化肥、其他散裝食品及非食品產品)之散貨包裝及植物栽培處理之袋子必須耐用以對抗材料降解、磨蝕、穿孔、內容物之污染及洩漏,且必須在經密封及填充有重達約22.68 kg(50磅)且甚至高達約36.29 kg(80磅)之內容物時承受一墜落測試。此外,此等袋子通常在使用之後被丟棄,此要求對環境友好之廉價且輕量之一構造,其可能可再循環,且減少來自袋子之生產、使用之供應鏈浪費,以丟棄於一再循環流中或掩埋場中。當前,由多個紙層及聚合物膜層構成之多壁式紙及聚合物層袋子係重的、生產及裝運過於昂貴、易於撕裂及穿孔、且在供應鏈中產生浪費。傳統上用於包裝散裝產品之多壁式紙/聚合物層袋子不可再循環且將大量材料添加至掩埋場。此發明藉由供應一較輕量袋子克服多壁式紙/聚合物層袋子之諸多顯著缺點,該袋子不太昂貴、更耐用及抗撕裂、在供應鏈中引起顯著減少之浪費、且在一適合之再循環流中100%可再循環。此外,此發明本質上可以與現有之袋子填充及密封裝備相同之方式起作用,以完善填充有產品之一擠壓密封袋子。
一典型之製造生產線提供用以用內容物填充袋子之設備,且進一步提供用以藉由擠壓封閉以一簡單方式封閉該袋子之設備,且進一步提供用以密封該擠壓封閉袋子之裝備。傳統構造之袋子可藉由縫合或以其他方式密封有一熱熔密封劑代替縫合來封閉。此等傳統構造之袋子包含由紙及聚合物膜壓層製作之多壁式袋子。該袋子構造必須允許用內容物快速填充袋子且此後必須允許封閉及密封該袋子。
該傳統袋子構造具有層壓有一或多個紙層之若干聚合物層。該等傳統袋子在填充之後的密封係藉由在一提高之溫度處再活化一熱熔黏合劑及/或可熔化聚合物層同時該紙對抗對袋子構造之損害來實現。依賴於紙固有之高閃點來承受在一提高之溫度處施加熱且因此保護袋子免受由於熱及溫度所致之損害。進一步地,塗佈於該紙表面上之一薄聚乙烯PE聚合物可與熱熔黏合劑一起熔化或軟化以黏合至紙且形成一可靠密封。隨後袋子填充操作,現有之終端用戶生產線裝備將熱空氣施加至袋子上以熔化及活化熱熔黏合劑及/或可熔化聚合物層。該熱必須在熔化該熱熔黏合劑之一溫度處施加,且進一步地至少部分地熔化塗佈在紙表面上之聚合物,同時依賴於紙來承受熱及溫度,且防止袋子由於該熱及溫度所致之弱化或燃燒。然而,多壁式紙及聚合物層壓物之一主要缺點係,其係不能夠作為一單個材料分類之紙或塑膠進行再循環之複合材料。進一步地,傳統袋子之多壁式層壓物不能製成堆肥,且因此在掩埋場中保留完整。進一步地,多壁式層壓物係重的,且增加不必要之裝運成本。
在一終端用戶之製造生產線中,提供設備以透過該袋子之一開口端用內容物填充袋子,隨後封閉及密封該經填充袋子。傳統生產線已採用縫綴裝備將袋子縫合。替代生產線具有熱空氣噴嘴以在一提高溫度處施加熱來熔化及活化已預施加至具有厚的多壁式紙及聚合物膜壓層構造之傳統袋子之預施加熱熔黏合劑。此後,一封閉機構僅藉由擠壓封閉該等開口端以一有利方式封閉該等袋子。該封閉機構將壓力施加於該等袋子上以封閉該等袋子,及在該熱熔黏合劑黏合至該封閉袋子且直至該黏合劑冷卻及硬化為止時保持該等袋子封閉。
該熱必須在熔化該熱熔黏合劑之一溫度處施加,且進一步地,其可熔化聚合物之塗佈在紙表面上之部分,同時依賴於該紙來承受熱及溫度,且防止由於熱及溫度所致之弱化或燃燒。該等傳統袋子具有厚的多壁式紙及聚合物膜層壓物之一構造。該等傳統袋子之一或多個厚紙層承受在提高之溫度處施加之熱而不弱化袋子強度且不使紙燃燒。進一步地,該紙表面上之塗佈有聚乙烯PE之一層壓膜大體熔化,同時與已熔化之熱熔黏合劑接觸以與該黏合劑形成一熱密封。
本發明之該等實施例為替換多壁式紙及聚合物層壓物之傳統袋子之袋子之長期存在需要提供一可持續解決方案,且仍可承受用以密封袋子之熱及溫度之施加,其繼續盛行於現有生產裝備中。
因此,已存在對下述袋子之長期存在之需要:其由結構組件製作,與傳統袋子相比能夠再循環或產生更少掩埋場材料,且能夠藉由現有生產設備密封以避免對現有生產線裝備之昂貴替換。因此,為用一改良袋子替換一層壓式紙及聚合物袋子之現有結構組件,該改良袋子必須藉由現有生產裝備熱密封,同時承受熱及/或壓力之施加以熔化該黏合劑且密封該袋子。此外,存在消除一紙及聚合物層壓物作為袋子之結構組件中之一者之長期存在之需要,該紙及聚合物層壓物不能再循環及/或在一掩埋場中降解,且在一掩埋場中添加明顯更高重量及數量之材料。
傳統之多壁式紙及聚合物層壓物袋子各自具有約275克之紙及50克之聚丙烯聚合物,及作為碳排放之一量測之約11之碳足跡。產生於本發明實施例之約150克之較輕量袋子比在製成傳統袋子中使用之原料具有更少原料,且導致一大致減少之碳足跡(約為5)。
根據本發明之實施例,編織袋子係完全由一可再循環聚丙烯製作,且具有包含一圓筒形編織(網狀)袋子之結構組件,該袋子層壓於由一單個或多個層壓層之無孔聚合物膜內側。該等袋子係整個由一可再循環聚丙烯材料製作,其可再循環且可由於具有諸如金屬茂合物等樹脂添加劑而係可製堆肥的,且進一步摒除由未知化學成分及未知材料混合物構成之經再循環或被污染聚合物。此外,根據本發明實施例之袋子較輕且更能對抗磨損、撕裂及穿孔,且與易受磨損及損害之傳統多壁式紙及聚合物層壓物相比可再使用。根據本發明實施例之袋子減少由於裝運成本、受損袋子內容物所致之浪費及增加內容物之保存期限。
本發明之實施例實現對具有消除傳統之不可再循環紙-聚合物層壓物之結構組件之更輕量、強壯袋子之一長期存在之需要,且此外係耐用的以便再使用,且可藉由在一掩埋場中製成堆肥來降解且可作為一單個材料再循環。此外,該可再循環及/或可製堆肥之袋子包含水溶性黏合劑材料作為袋子之結構組件。該等黏合劑材料之實施例可在溶於水(一無毒溶劑)中時預施加。將該等黏合劑材料施加至袋子之相對表面上,隨後藉由以下操作進行固化:曝露至輻射熱或引入熱、電子束EB、輻射、空氣或其他固化介質及/或蒸發該無毒分散液以環境安全地自分散液混合物中之達到一非黏合硬化狀態之熱活化黏合劑成分中移除,該無毒分散液對水或濕度無反應且在與填充於袋子中之營養物質偶爾接觸時無毒。每一袋子之一相對端具有一擠壓底部或(另一選擇係)一平坦底部組態,其係藉由縫合或藉由一黏合劑(較佳地一無毒黏合劑)或藉由塑膠熔接或藉由包含但不限於聚合物帶、紙帶或非編織帶之一材料而封閉及密封。將該等袋子摺疊平坦以供裝運至另一製造設備,於此處用內容物填充該等袋子且將其等封閉及密封。
可使用現有生產線裝備將用以密封袋子之黏合劑材料活化至一熔化黏合狀態,該生產線裝備在充分低於該袋子之聚合物結構組件之軟化點溫度Tg之一溫度下施加熱,且將該等黏合劑材料熔化至一黏合狀態而不損害該袋子之其他結構組件。
儘管可用一再熔化熱熔黏合劑密封一傳統多壁式紙/聚合物層袋子,但此等熱熔黏合劑並不適合用於密封通常包括一或多個可再循環聚丙烯之聚合物層、或一可再循環及/或可製堆肥聚丙烯編織袋子及兩個或更多個可再循環聚丙烯或其他聚合物材料之聚合物層之一外部聚合物層或層壓物,但不包含不可在傳統袋子製造生產裝備上熱密封之紙層或一外層的聚合物袋子。將一熱熔黏合劑活化至一黏合狀態所需之熱將對一聚合物編織袋子有害,且將破壞該袋子之結構完整性。一傳統多壁式紙/聚合物層袋子可用一熱熔黏合劑密封,而在一聚合物袋子上,藉由現有終端用戶裝備施加以再活化或再熔化一熱熔黏合劑之熱將進一步在高於其軟化點Tg溫度處加熱該袋子之聚合物材料,致使該聚合物材料軟化、喪失抗拉強度或甚至經受塑膠變形。因此,通常習知之熱熔黏合劑並不適用於在一聚合物袋子上形成一密封。
圖1及圖1A揭示一聚合物編織袋子100之一實施例,該聚合物編織袋子包含具有一單個聚合物膜或多個聚合物膜之一層壓物之一外層104,且一聚合物編織袋子提供層壓至或以黏合方式黏合至外層104之一內層102(圖3)。該袋子之外層104包含一單個聚合物膜或多個聚合物膜之一層壓物。舉例而言,外層104之一層壓物包含一透明膜、一第二膜及在該透明膜或第二膜上之印刷圖形,其中該等印刷圖形係被保護於透明膜與第二膜之間。編織袋子100具有一第一幅面106及一第二幅面108,其組態為一連續管或接合在一起以形成一袋子之個別片。

根據本發明之實施例,需要開發一黏合劑材料以在袋子100之一部分上提供熱活化黏合劑材料之一第一黏合劑層600。需要開發相同或另一黏合劑材料以在袋子100之另一部分上提供熱活化黏合劑材料之一第二黏合劑層602,其中第一黏合劑層600及第二黏合劑層602之熱活化溫度低於在袋子100之聚合物材料之軟化點溫度,且其中可迫使黏合劑層600與進一步黏合劑層602接觸且形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封以在袋子100之端122處封閉及密封袋子100。藉由使用現有之終端用戶生產線裝備以施加受控溫度熱來將黏合劑層600、602活化至黏合狀態而有利地執行密封。開發一可溶黏合劑,其中黏合劑層600及黏合劑層602包括可溶於一空氣可乾燥溶劑中之一黏合劑材料。舉例而言,黏合劑層600及進一步黏合劑層602包括可溶解於水中且經空氣乾燥至不受水或水蒸氣影響之在尺寸上穩定、非黏合狀態之黏合劑材料。
黏合劑層600及進一步黏合劑層602包括具有低於300℉之一熔化溫度之各別黏合劑材料,該溫度低於袋子100之層102、104中之聚合物材料之軟化點溫度Tg。進一步地,黏合劑層600及進一步黏合劑層602中之每一者包括以低於活化至黏合狀態所需之溫度之一溫度在空氣中乾燥之黏合劑材料。
然後,袋子100之該等實施例經製備以用於儲存及裝運。藉由在第一幅面106及第二幅面108之毗鄰開口端122之端邊緣處相對於彼此封閉第一幅面106及第二幅面108來擠壓封閉袋子100之端122。袋子100之端122在保持未密封之同時被摺疊平坦,且袋子100經摺疊平坦供用於儲存及裝運至另一生產設備,其中袋子100之端122打開,使袋子100展開且自平坦組態擴張,且用內容物填充該袋子。然後,封閉及密封端122。藉由以一熱活化溫度施加熱來將黏合劑層600、602活化至一黏合狀態,其中該熱活化溫度低於標準或傳統熱熔黏合劑或基於溶劑之黏合劑之可密封傳統紙及聚合物層壓袋子而不損害紙層之熱活化溫度,但超出未製作有紙層之聚合物袋子100之軟化點溫度Tg。該等標準或傳統熱熔黏合劑不能與聚丙烯袋子100組合,乃因活化該等黏合劑所需之溫度對PP材料結構有破壞性。
黏合劑層600、602之實施例包括一黏合劑材料之一水溶分散劑或一基於水之黏合劑材料,其係以液體形式施加且在由周圍溫度進行空氣乾燥時經空氣乾燥或固化至一穩定、非黏合狀態。黏合劑層600、602之進一步實施例各自係一基於丙烯酸樹脂之水媒黏合劑或一聚胺基甲酸酯分散劑黏合劑、或一丁基合成或天然橡膠黏合劑。黏合劑層600、602之其他實施例包含分散於水中之一聚胺基甲酸酯黏合劑(POD)。一較佳實施例係由35%之固體製成。假設一18英吋寬之袋子,跨越3英吋之密封區域以1.75克每濕袋來施加該黏合劑。黏度經調整以與一施加器設備及方法之較佳實施例之質量流率相一致,舉例而言,施加各自具有800-1000厘泊之一黏度及足以形成將承受本文將闡述之袋子測試之一黏合劑對黏合劑密封之一塗佈重量之黏合劑層之一條帶之一狹隙施加器。
用於擠壓密封PP編織袋子100之黏合劑層600、602之一實施例係由基於水或基於溶劑之合成聚合物或共聚合物乳劑構成,包含但不限於聚胺基甲酸酯分散黏合劑、乙烯系物、丙烯酸樹脂、或其他聚合物或共聚合物乳劑,或可包含基於天然橡膠或合成橡膠之黏合劑,其等係在經濕式溶解後施加且然後乾燥至不受水及水蒸氣影響之一硬化狀態。將用於一生產線上之習知施加設備包含但不限於噴射施加器、滾輪或一狹隙施加器。黏合劑層600、602在藉由一熱空氣噴嘴或其他熱源在高達及少於約148.89℃(300℉)之一提高溫度處施加之熱活化至黏合狀態時形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封,該溫度低於袋子幅面106、108及袋子袋摺110(在存在時)之聚合物膜、聚烯膜及/或PP編織材料之熔點溫度。此等黏合劑層600、602將足夠接合及黏合提供至聚烯膜及/或PP編織材料,其係由FDA認可為用於非直接食品接觸,且提供足夠剪切、剝離及接合強度以滿足本文將闡述之袋子測試參數。
特定而言,兩個黏合劑層600、602係一基於丙烯酸樹脂之水媒黏合劑及一聚胺基甲酸酯分散劑黏合劑。每一者皆具有低於148.89℃(300℉)且低於由(舉例而言)可製堆肥聚丙烯製成之聚合物層102、104之軟化點溫度Tg之一黏合狀態活化溫度。
黏合劑600、602之一實施例包含:水中含有35%之固體之一聚胺基甲酸酯黏合劑分散劑,具有經調整以施加至袋子之一黏度,例如用於由一狹隙施加器施加之大致約800-1000厘泊之一黏度,或用於由一噴射施加器施加之小於約800厘泊之一黏度。該黏度經變化或調整以獲得一最佳質量流率,且根據需要獲得一期望塗佈重量以供一特定形式之施加器施加。黏合劑1623-63A可自美國WI 53226之Bostik有限公司購買,其中該等黏合劑本身不構成本發明之任一部分,以與本文所揭示之袋子之一結構組件區分。假設一45.72 cm(18英吋)寬之袋子且在袋子上有一7.62 cm(3英吋)寬之黏合劑條帶,作為該等袋子之一結構組件之黏合劑層600、602之實施例包含在溶解於水後濕式施加之每袋1.75克黏合劑材料,此等價於每幹袋0.6克,或在幹重塗層下每令約10.6磅。一旦已施加黏合劑層600、602,則其必須穿過一乾燥系統以蒸發水且將黏合劑層乾燥至不受水、水蒸氣及周圍溫度影響之一穩定狀態。
袋子100包含在一低熔溫度上之一或多個可熱封材料、編織及固體聚烯膜。將該(或該等)適合之黏合劑材料作為一溶液或乳劑施加至袋子表面,且在低於其熱活化溫度之溫度處進行空氣乾燥以蒸發溶劑或水之揮發成份且使固化。該等固體黏合劑材料並不對潮氣或壓力敏感而活化至一黏合狀態,且因此避免在袋子填充期間袋子內容物之污染。
用於袋子100之熱密封聚烯膜之一個適合黏合劑材料包括可作為由Bostik有限公司(11320 Watertown Plank Road,Wauwatosa,WI 53226 USA)製造之AQUAGRIP 19566F而市售之三乙胺黏合劑之一基於水之乳劑。該基於水之乳劑包括可透過皮膚吸收之三乙胺(Cas編號121-44-8、0.5至1.5%)。
在使用之前,查閱材料名的物質安全資料表(MSDS):L9566F,其係依照聯邦危害通識標準29 C.F.R. 1910.1200製備及分佈。該MSDS揭示以下:

跨越一袋子幅面106、108之整體或部分跨越介於自1.27 cm至15.24 cm(英吋至6英吋)之寬度之一面積在一或兩個袋子幅面106、108上施加黏合劑層600、602。透過袋子100之開口端122用內容物填充袋子100,其中一或兩個幅面106、108具有跨越袋子100之開口端122之寬度施加之熱活化黏合劑層600、602,其中第一幅面106及第二幅面108未密封以形成透過其填充袋子內容物之一開口袋子端122。在一填充過程之後,形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封之幅面進行層接觸;然後透過一習用熱空氣或熱密封設備處理該開口袋子端,且在低於聚合物材料之軟化點溫度之一溫度處施加熱以較佳地在該第一層黏合劑材料及第二層黏合劑材料彼此接觸之前將其等再熔化,或另一選擇係,在其彼此接觸時將其再熔化。
當在一製造生產線上用內容物填充袋子100之一實施例之後,使袋子100穿過一擠壓密封單元(未顯示),該擠壓密封單元將熱空氣吹至黏合劑層600、602上以將黏合劑層600、602活化至黏合狀態。
在圖1及圖1A之實施例中,在將黏合劑層600、602熱活化至黏合狀態下,將幅面106、108固持在一起或進行擠壓,較佳地直至黏合劑層600、602形成一黏著之黏合劑對黏合劑密封,且進一步較佳地直至黏合劑層600、602硬化且在尺寸上穩定且變得不受水、水蒸氣及周圍溫度影響。
類似地,在圖2及圖2A之實施例中,將較長之蓋片部分502及較短之第一幅面106固持在一起或進行擠壓,較佳地直至黏合劑層600、602形成一黏著之黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
類似地,在圖3及圖3A之實施例中,在將黏合劑層600、602熱活化至黏合狀態下,沿摺疊線206摺疊袋子100,該袋子可摺疊以在其自身上摺疊第一幅面106之部分202,且其中蓋片部分502可朝向第一幅面106摺疊以藉由黏合劑600與進一步黏合劑層602之間的接觸固持袋子100摺疊。較長之蓋片部分502及較短之第一幅面106係固持在一起或被擠壓,且幅面106、108固持在一起或被擠壓,較佳地直至黏合劑層600、602形成一黏著之黏合劑對黏合劑密封,且進一步較佳地直至黏合劑層600、602硬化且在尺寸上穩定,且變得不受水、水蒸氣及周圍溫度影響。進一步地,在圖3中,將黏合劑層600或(另一選擇係)黏合劑層602施加於袋摺側110之區段118、120上以沿摺疊線206摺疊且在袋摺側110之區段118、120封閉且相對於第一幅面106之區段204固持或擠壓時形成一黏著之黏合劑對黏合劑密封以封閉及防止沿袋摺側110之洩漏。
一聚合物編織袋子100之結構組件之一實施例包含:一聚合物外層104;一聚合物編織袋子內層102,其層壓至或以黏性方式黏合至外層104;一袋子100之一第一幅面106及一第二幅面108,及將在用內容物填充袋子100之後擠壓封閉於第一幅面106及第二幅面108之間的一開口端122;第一幅面106之一部分之一結構組件,其在第一幅面之一部分上具有一熱活化第一黏合劑層600以藉由與第二幅面108之一部分108或502之一結構組件上之一熱活化黏合劑層600接觸來形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封;其中第一黏合劑層600及第二黏合劑層602具有低於聚合物材料之軟化點溫度之各別熱活化溫度,且其中該第一黏合劑層600及第二黏合劑層602經乾燥且不受水影響,且其中在透過端122用內容物填充袋子100之後,第一黏合劑層600及第二黏合劑層602可藉由以低於袋子100之聚合物材料之軟化點溫度之一溫度施加熱而活化至黏合狀態以形成該黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
該等結構組件之另一實施例包含在其上具有第二黏合劑層602之一部分之一可摺疊蓋片部分502以形成黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
該等結構組件必須通過下述測試而不撕裂第一幅面106或第二幅面106或密封蓋片502之一實施例,且不打開第一黏合劑層600與第二黏合劑層602之間的黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
袋子封閉測試需求
7點墜落測試用生產該袋子所用以固持之產品將袋子填充至其容量。在多數情況下,以50磅幹寵物(狗/貓)食品進行測試。自4英尺之一高度,首先正對袋子之面部或前幅面、然後正對後幅面使袋子墜落。針對袋子之每一側重複該等墜落,隨後所評估之密封端之每一角。最後一次墜落係所測試之密封端上之一垂直墜落。在每次墜落之後檢查密封區域以找出破損跡象。該密封在墜落測試期間之任一點處是否開始打開確實值得關注,但在產品灑出之前不認為該密封破損。
蠕變測試所測試之袋子填充有20磅砂。袋子懸掛或懸吊於一環境室中,其中砂之重量抵住針對抗蠕變(非彈性變形)所評估之密封。該密封必須在該室中通過兩個條件:負17.78℃(0℉)達72小時。在60℃(140℉)及70%相對濕度下達72小時。(及/或可針對袋子使用在寵物食品市場、人類食品市場及其他產品市場中之適應性根據需要添加其他測試條件。)
剝離及剪切資料密封端之T剝離及剪切測試係在拉伸測試機上。剝離及剪切測試二者皆在-28.89℃至60℃(-20℉至+140℉)之一溫度範圍上完成。(及/或可針對袋子使用在寵物食品市場、人類食品市場及其他產品市場中之適應性根據需要添加其他測試條件。)收集及查看此資料以查看黏合劑之有效工作溫度範圍。
抗油脂性將使用大量高脂含量幹寵物食品填充袋子,且將在分配(亦即,振動及壓縮)之模擬下評估該密封。此將顯示食品中之侵略性油及調味料是否將浸蝕黏合劑從而致使一密封破損。)該密封必須在測試室中通過兩個條件:
1.具有最少20%脂含量之20磅寵物食品,懸吊或懸掛於一環境室內,其中產品之重量抵住所評估之密封端;
2.在140℉處以70%之相對濕度或足夠測試保存期限之用的其他週期及適合於寵物食品市場之需求懸掛最少72小時。
對編織聚合物(聚丙烯)袋子上之一擠壓底部封閉之開發發現,構造該袋子所用之聚丙烯材料可能不能承受經由典型之熱空氣密封器再活化一熱熔劑所需之熱。理論上,可使用熱熔劑但將需要長得多之密封裝備以1)在低得多之空氣溫度下運行,及2)允許袋子有更多時間以在減少之熱條件下進行密封。
為密封一多壁式紙袋子,將其蓋片部分或密封蓋片塗佈有一3.81 cm(1.5英吋)寬度之熱熔黏合劑。在用內容物填充該袋子之後,將黏合劑加熱至一黏合狀態且摺疊密封蓋片以相對於該袋子之一毗鄰3.81 cm(1.5英吋)寬度黏合該黏合劑。一典型之熱空氣密封器裝備(設備)將該熱熔黏合劑加熱至其熔化溫度,同時該袋子之紙材料承受該熱熔溫度而無熱損害。該密封器裝備之一擠壓封閉件摺疊該密封蓋片且擠壓該袋子以在該黏合劑固化及乾燥時相對於該袋子密封該密封蓋片。然而,一典型之熱空氣密封器裝備產生將致使對本文所揭示之編織聚合物(聚丙烯)袋子之熱損害之熱熔溫度。
本發明之一實施例提供一編織聚合物(聚丙烯)袋子100,其具有一擠壓封閉件而不需要用於密封該等袋子之新資本設備。本文揭示之用於密封編織聚合物(聚丙烯)袋子100之黏合劑600、602將在比熔化一熱熔黏合劑所需之較高熔化溫度低得多之溫度處再活化至一黏合狀態,且亦將在由當今之典型熱空氣密封器裝備提供之當前停留時間下如此。一問題係在相對於幅面區段204摺疊密封蓋片502時本文揭示之較低熔化溫度黏合劑提供一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。該黏合劑對黏合劑密封需要跨越聚合物袋子100在一寬廣面積上方之黏合劑塗佈600、602。更具體而言,需要一總計7.62 cm(3英吋)寬度之黏合劑密封600、602,此為典型之熱空氣密封器裝備提供一問題。典型之熱空氣密封器裝備能夠加熱一多壁式紙袋子之一密封蓋片上之一3.81 cm(1.5英吋)寬度之熱熔黏合劑。然而,在跨越編織聚合物袋子100之一7.62 cm(3英吋)寬面積上方需要熱空氣分佈。出於此原因,藉助一空氣歧管修改該熱空氣密封器裝備以將熱空氣分佈至在跨越編織聚合物袋子100之一7.62 cm(3英吋)寬面積上方所需處。此修改提供由同一熱空氣密封器設備密封同一裝備上之多壁式紙袋子及編織聚合物袋子100二者之一能力。
圖4揭示一擠壓密封單元400或熱空氣密封器設備400之一部分及在圖示中自右至左輸送時之一編織聚合物袋子100。設備400具有一固定導板402,袋子100支撐於固定導板402上。固定導板402具有一垂直定向。

在圖5中,在通過壓摺滾輪之後,蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202進入熱空氣密封器設備400之一摺疊設備600。針對圖2中之袋子100,蓋片部分502首先在一摺疊刮板606之一對角展開前邊緣604下面通過。針對圖3中之袋子100,蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202首先在一摺疊刮板606之一對角展開前邊緣604下面通過。摺疊刮板606沿一彎曲靜態刮板縱向形成,以使得該彎曲靜態刮板在蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202後方延伸。展開前邊緣604在摺疊刮板606下方引導蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202。參照圖6,蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202繼續穿過摺疊刮板606下方且抵住摺疊刮板606。摺疊刮板606向其展開前邊緣604後方縱向延伸且逐漸沿其長度向後彎曲直至其平行於一熱空氣歧管700之一頂部壁702,如圖6所揭示。
圖2及圖3揭示之一黏合劑層602塗佈蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202。藉由吹過一熱空氣歧管700之一頂部壁702之熱空氣將黏合劑層602加熱至一黏合狀態,如圖7所揭示。進一步地,袋子100具有一黏合劑層600,如圖2及圖3揭示。藉由吹過熱空氣室716之一背壁704之熱空氣加熱黏合劑層600。舉例而言,蓋片部分502上之黏合劑層602及袋子100之幅面106之區段202具有大致1.5英吋之寬度,且跨越袋子100延伸。類似地,黏合劑層602具有大致1.5英吋之寬度且跨越袋子100延伸。
圖7揭示具有一中空熱空氣室716之熱空氣密封器設備400之熱空氣歧管700,如圖8、圖9及圖10所揭示。熱空氣室716係由頂部壁702、背壁704、圖9中之一底部壁706、圖8中之一前壁710及端壁712、714,舉例而言藉由衝壓及形成個別片且將該等片熔接或硬銲在一起以形成熱空氣室716。透過前壁710提供一入口718至熱空氣室716。透過入口718在壓力下供應熱空氣以給中空室716加壓。
圖7及圖8揭示在頂部壁702上穿孔有空氣通道720之一分佈,以將熱空氣吹至蓋片部分502上之黏合劑層602及幅面106之區段202上之黏合劑層600上。背壁704穿孔有空氣通道722之一分佈,以將熱空氣吹至袋子100之幅面區段204上之黏合劑層600上。背壁704具有一展開前邊緣724以引導幅面區段204穿過前邊緣724。圖9揭示頂部壁702在頂部邊緣界限726下方凹陷以沿頂部壁702界定一凹陷730以使黏合劑層600、602與頂部壁702間隔開且在藉由透過穿過頂部壁702之空氣通道720在壓力下吹自熱空氣室716之熱空氣將蓋片部分502上之黏合劑層602及袋子區段202上之黏合劑層600加熱至一黏合狀態時防止黏合劑層600、602與頂部壁702之間的接觸。
圖6揭示熱空氣密封器設備400中之熱空氣歧管700。進一步地,圖6揭示熱空氣室716之一錐形尾端732。熱空氣室716朝向尾端732沿前壁710在732a處向內漸縮,如圖8及圖11所揭示。熱空氣室716在732b處沿頂部壁702朝向尾端732向下漸縮,如圖9及圖11所揭示。在圖11中,利用連接至入口718之一熱空氣導管720將熱空氣供應至熱空氣室116。
在圖6中,在熱空氣室716之頂部壁702上方自右至左地輸送具有蓋片部分502及幅面區段202之袋子100,同時透過穿過頂部壁702之通道720自熱空氣室716將熱空氣在壓力下吹出且至蓋片部分502上之黏合劑層602上且至幅面區段202上之黏合劑層600上。藉由該熱空氣將黏合劑層600、602加熱至黏合狀態,且因此穿過熱空氣室716之一尾端732。
根據本發明之一實施例,將通道722添加至背壁704以使得透過穿過背壁704之通道722自熱空氣室716將熱空氣在壓力下吹出且至圖2及圖3所揭示之黏合劑層600上、圖3所揭示之幅面區段204上。藉由該熱空氣將黏合劑層600加熱至一黏合狀態,且因此穿過熱空氣室716之一尾端732。進一步地,由圖10揭示之背壁704具有藉由彎曲而形成之縱向向外突起之邊緣界限726、728。突起之邊緣界限726、728形成由圖10揭示之一縱向腔730,其中突起之邊緣界限726、728使幅面區段204上之黏合劑層600與背壁704間隔開以在藉由該熱空氣將黏合劑層600加熱至一黏合狀態時防止黏合劑層600與背壁704之間的接觸。
熱空氣密封器設備400經調適用於擠壓封閉及密封具有一熱熔黏合劑之一多壁式紙袋子(未顯示)。熱空氣歧管700進一步能夠藉由調整在該熱空氣室716中加熱該熱空氣之溫度將熱熔黏合劑加熱至一熱熔溫度。該多壁式紙袋子可承受該熱熔溫度。然而,聚合物材料製成之袋子100不能承受該熱熔溫度。因此,在熱空氣室716中加熱該熱空氣之溫度必須被調整至低於用於製成袋子100所使用之聚合物材料之熔化溫度或軟化點溫度。進一步地,可藉由吹過頂部壁702之熱空氣加熱具有跨越袋子之寬度約為1.5英吋之一熱熔黏合劑層之一多壁式紙袋子(未顯示)。然而,該多壁式紙袋子並不具有額外黏合劑以形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。出於此原因,吹過熱空氣室716之背壁704之熱空氣無害地衝擊多壁式紙袋子,其中該多壁式紙袋子之紙材料承受該熱空氣之熱熔溫度。
圖6揭示在自右至左輸送蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202時摺疊刮板606抵住袋子100施偏壓以朝向頂部壁702向下固持蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202。進一步地,摺疊刮板606具有超出熱空氣室716之尾端732延伸之一尾端606a。摺疊刮板606朝向其尾端606a逐漸縱向彎曲直至其尾端606a大致超出熱空氣室716之尾端732垂直。逐漸彎曲之摺疊刮板606逐漸向下施偏壓於蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202以沿循熱空氣室716之錐形頂部壁732b。超出熱空氣室716之尾端732,摺疊刮板606之尾端606a大致垂直地施偏壓於蓋片部分502及幅面106之區段202。進一步地,摺疊刮板606之尾端606a施偏壓於蓋片部分502,以如圖2及圖3中所揭示沿圖3之摺疊線206摺疊,同時已將幅面區段202上之黏合劑層600加熱至一黏合狀態且變得偏置以抵住袋子100之幅面區段204上之由圖2及圖3揭示之經加熱黏合劑層600(其已被加熱至一黏合狀態)結合。在繼續自右至左地輸送袋子100時,摺疊幅面區段202及摺疊蓋片部分502自摺疊刮板606之尾端606a顯露。
圖11揭示熱空氣密封器設備400之一擠壓封閉設備1200。一對輥輪驅動之帶式驅動裝置1202、1204在摺疊袋子100之相對側上擠壓以擠壓封閉袋子100,且進一步地將袋子100之第二幅面108夾在袋子之第一幅面106上且藉由第一黏合劑層600與第二黏合劑層602之間的接觸形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。在黏合劑層600變得冷卻至周圍溫度且形成固化、密封狀態時,帶式驅動裝置1202、1204施加傳送至黏合劑層600之夾緊壓力,以形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
在圖11中,滾輪驅動之帶式驅動裝置1202、1204可使得摺疊刮板606之尾端606a交疊以自摺疊刮板606拉出摺疊袋子100。滾輪驅動之帶式驅動裝置1202、1204在其自摺疊刮板606之尾端606a輸送袋子100時在袋子100上施加連續夾緊壓力。在離開帶式驅動裝置1202、1204之後,可夾緊袋子100以沿摺疊區段202藉助施加於摺疊袋子100之相對側上之夾緊壓力而繼續,以相對於黏合劑層600、602施加夾緊壓力來在其變得冷卻至環境溫度且形成固化密封狀態時使其彼此黏合。

Claims (11)

  1. 一種使用一系統於封閉及密封自每一者皆由聚合物材料製成且在一個端處密封之多個袋子截取之袋子之一端之方法,其中該袋子在一第一幅面之一第一區段上具有黏合劑材料,且在該袋子之一階梯式構造上具有黏合劑材料,該階梯式構造包括該第一幅面之一第二區段、側袋摺之若干個部分及一第二幅面之一部分,該方法包括:在該袋子已經內容物填充並封閉、然後經壓摺以提供一摺疊線之後,沿該系統之一熱空氣歧管輸送每一袋子,其中該熱空氣歧管具有一熱空氣室;藉由經由穿過該熱空氣室之一背壁之空氣通道吹出之熱空氣將該第一幅面之該第一區段上之該黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態,且藉由經由穿過該熱空氣室之一頂部壁之空氣通道吹出之熱空氣將該袋子之該階梯式構造上之該黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態,其中將該黏合劑材料加熱至低於該聚合物材料之軟化點溫度之一溫度,於此溫度下該黏合劑材料在該袋子正被輸送時經活化至其黏合狀態;及沿該摺疊線摺疊該袋子,且隨後在該袋子上施加壓力,以使該袋子之該階梯式構造上之該黏合劑材料與該第一幅面之該第一區段上之該黏合劑材料接觸,以形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封,此密封該袋子之藉以用內容物填充該袋子之該端。
  2. 如請求項1之方法,其包括: 在於該第一幅面之該第一區段上具有高達3.81cm(1.5英吋)寬度之一尺寸時,將該黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態,且在於該袋子之該階梯式構造上具有高達3.81cm(1.5英吋)寬度之一尺寸時,將該黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態。
  3. 如請求項1或2之方法,其包括:沿該熱空氣歧管連續地輸送該袋子,同時將該黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態。
  4. 如請求項1或2之方法,其包括:施偏壓於該袋子之該階梯式構造使其朝向該熱空氣室之該頂部壁,同時將該袋子之該階梯式構造上之該黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態。
  5. 如請求項1或2之方法,其包括:使該黏合劑材料與該熱空氣室之該頂部壁間隔開,以在將該黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態時,防止該黏合劑材料與該熱空氣室之該頂部壁之間接觸。
  6. 如請求項1或2之方法,其包括:使該黏合劑材料與該熱空氣室之該背壁間隔開,以在將該黏合劑材料加熱至其黏合狀態時,防止該黏合劑材料與該熱空氣室之該背壁之間接觸。
  7. 如請求項1或2之方法,其包括:沿該摺疊線摺疊該袋子,其中該幅面之該階梯式構造上之該黏合劑材料在該摺疊線下方與該第一幅面之該第一區段上之該黏合劑材料形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
  8. 如請求項1或2之方法,其包括:沿該摺疊線摺疊該袋子,其中該第二幅面上之該黏合劑材料與該摺疊線間隔開,且在該摺疊線下方與該第一幅面之該第一區段上之該黏合劑材料形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
  9. 一種用於執行如請求項1之方法之系統,其包括:一袋子,其係自由聚合物材料製成且在一個端處密封之多個袋子截取,其中該袋子在一第一幅面之一第一區段上具有黏合劑材料,且該袋子在該袋子之一階梯式構造上具有黏合劑材料,且該袋子之該階梯式構造包含該第一幅面之一第二區段、側袋摺之若干個部分及一第二幅面之一部分;一熱空氣歧管,其用以在該袋子已經內容物填充並封閉且該袋子經壓摺以提供一摺疊線之後,將該袋子之一第一區段上之黏合劑材料加熱至一黏合狀態且將該袋子之該階梯式構造上之該黏合劑材料加熱至一黏合狀態;一刮板,其用以在該袋子正被輸送時施偏壓於該袋子之該階梯式構造以沿該歧管而行;該刮板之一尾端,其用以摺疊該袋子,隨後藉由一擠壓封閉設備在該袋子上施加夾緊壓力以形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封,此密封該袋子之藉以用內容物填充該袋子之該端。
  10. 如請求項9之系統,其包括:一壓摺設備,其用以在已透過該袋子之該端用內容物 填充該袋子之後,在該袋子正被輸送時沿一摺疊線壓摺該袋子。
  11. 如請求項9之系統,其包括:一擠壓封閉設備,其在該刮板之該尾端之後且施加夾緊壓力以形成一黏合劑對黏合劑密封。
