1321918 五、發明說明(1) 發明所屬之技術領域 本發明概括而言是有關無線通訊系統,特別是,本發明 是有關在該系統中多媒體廣播及多播服務的頻道切換及排 程。 先前技術 在無線通訊系統中使用多媒體廣播/多播服務(MBMS)的 需求正在上升,對於特定的MBMS而言,網路中一個授予的 胞元可能具有無、一個、或多個的使用者、無線傳送/接 收單元(WTRUs),而使用該MBMS。當使用者在胞元間遷移 時’一原本可能具有一個或沒有使用該服務的使用者的胞 元在稍後可能會有多個使用該服務的使用者,相反地,一 個在一點具有多個使用該服務的使用者在另一時間可能只 有一個或沒有使用者。 使用者的遷移會產生無線資源無效率的使用。如果只有 一個或很少的使用者在該胞元使用該MBMS,對使用者來說 使用專用頻道來支援該服務是值得嚮往的,專用頻道可利 用功率控制及波束導向以減少用來支援MBMS之無線資源的 數量。 然而,如果太多使用者使用在該胞元中的MBMS,則多個 專用頻道總計可能會用到相當大量的無線資源,在這種情 形下’ 一個較理想的無線資源使用可能會是透過一個共 有/共享頻道來發送MBMS資料給一群使用該MBMS的使用 者。雖然在該情形下使用波束導向和功率控制會受限制,
第6頁 1321918 五、發明說明(2) 但總頻道數量的降低可減少無線資源的使用。當在胞元中 MBMS使用者的數量改變,原本不是共有/共享頻道就是專 用頻道的選擇在後來就不是那麼地理想了。 另一個由使用者遷移所導致的潛在問題乃是MBMS的排 程。當一個MBMS使用者在胞元間移動時,該使用者需要藉 由接收自兩胞元的資訊以重新建立MBMS服務,如果兩胞元 同步化他們的MBMS傳送,該MBMS使用者就能在胞元間無間 隙的移動,然而,類似的情景通常不會實現且會令人失 望。在基於胞元裝載和有效資源的某種程度時間間隙下, 其中一胞元在某時可能會比在另一時間具有較多的有效資 源以支援MBMS傳送’因此,在該時間讓該胞元傳送較大量 的MBMS資料就令人滿意,對於另一個在同一時間間隙的胞 元而言’支援相同MBMS頻寬的資源並無法利用。因此,在 胞元間替MBMS傳送做不同的排程以更有效利用該資源就頗 令人渴望。當MBMS使用者在胞元間移動時,使用者移動進 入的新胞元其傳送不是在另一胞元的傳送之前就是之後, 因此,MBMS使用者就可能漏失MBMS資料或接收無用多餘的 MBMS資料。 ' 因此’讓MBMS具有較佳資源利用就成為眾人渴求的事。 發明内容 本案係包含一種無線存取網路與一種用以發送使用頻道 切換的多媒體廣播/多播服務(MBMS)的方法,該頻道切換 係介於專用與共有/共享頻道之間。本案亦包含使用於當
