本实用新型是大体来说是有关无线通讯系统的,具体地,本实用新型有关在该系统中多媒体广播及多播服务的信道切换及排程。
背景技术
在无线通讯系统中使用多媒体广播/多播服务(MBMS)的需求正在上升,对于特定的MBMS而言,网络中一个给定的单元可能具有零、一个、或多个用户、无线传输/接收单元(WTRUs)使用该MBMS。当用户在单元间迁移时,一原本可能具有一个或没有使用该服务的用户的单元在稍后可能会有多个使用该服务的用户。相反地,一在一个时间点具有多个使用该服务的用户在另一时间可能只有一个或没有用户。
用户的迁移会产生无线资源无效率的使用。如果只有一个或很少的用户在该单元使用该MBMS,对用户来说使用专用信道使用该服务是可取的,专用信道可利用功率控制及波束导向(beam steering)以减少用来支持MBMS的无线资源的数量。
然而,如果太多用户在该单元使用MBMS,则多个专用信道总计可能会用到相当大量的无线资源。在这种情形下,一个更理想的无线资源使用可能会是通过一个公共/共享信道来发送MBMS数据给一群使用该MBMS的用户。虽然在该情形下使用波束导向和功率控制会受限制,但总信道数量的降低可减少使用的无线资源。当在单元中MBMS用户的数量改变,原本选择使用不是公共/共享信道就是专用信道在后来就不是那么理想了。
另一个由用户迁移导致的潜在问题乃是MBMS的排程。当MBMS用户在单元间移动时,该用户需要由接收自两单元的信息以重新建立MBMS服务。如果两单元同步化他们的MBMS传输,该MBMS用户就能在单元间无间隙的移动,然而,类似的情景通常不会实现且会令人失望。在基于单元负荷和可得到资源的某种程度时间间隙下,其中一单元在某时可能会比在另一时间具有较多的可得到资源以支持MBMS传输,因此,在该时间让该单元传输较大量的MBMS数据是令人满意的。对于另一个在同一时间间隙的单元而言,支持相同MBMS频宽的资源就不会存在。因此,在单元间有差异地替MBMS传输做不同的排程以更有效利用该资源就颇令人向往。当MBMS用户在单元间移动时,用户移动进入的新单元其传输不是在另一单元的传输之前就是之后。因此,MBMS用户就可能漏失MBMS数据或接收不必要的MBMS数据。
因此,让MBMS具有优选资源利用是有必要的。
实用新型内容
一种无线传输/接收单元(WTRU),用以在不同时间接收来自多组发射源的一多媒体广播/多媒体服务(MBMS),而该多组发射源以不同的次序传输该MBMS数据。WTRU接收频带内区段信息或频带外区段信息。利用此信息,该WTRU可重组该区段以产生MBMS数据。
一种无线传输/接收单元(WTRU),用以在不同时间接收来自多组发射源的一多媒体传播/多媒体服务(MBMS),所述多组发射源以不同的次序传输所述MBMS数据,其特征在于所述WTRU包含:一天线,其耦合至所述MBMS接收器;一MBMS接收器,其用以接收来自每个所述发射源的所述MBMS区段;一区段信息恢复装置,其耦合至所述MBMS接收器,用以接收以带有所述MBMS区段的频带而被传输的一区段信息;以及一MBMS区段重组装置,其耦合至所述MBMS接收器与所述区段信息恢复装置,以重组基于所述区段信息的所述MBMS区段,且具有一输出用以产生来自所述MBMS区段的所述MBMS数据。
根据上述构想,本发明的无线传输/接收单元(WTRU)允许位于单元内的用户在专用与公共信道之间进行适当的转换,而不需中断或延迟MBMS传输。此外,即使新单元与旧单元之间的传送顺序不同,进入单元的WTRU仍能持续接收MBMS的服务。一旦MBMS传送资料被接收,WRTU将依据频带内区段及/或频带外传输排程信息来记录信息。

具体实施方式
虽然优选实施例说明是结合第三代伙伴计划(3GPP)宽带码分多址(W-CDMA)系统,但该实施例也适用于任何使用MBMS的无线系统。之后的无线传输/接收单元(WTRU)包含但不限制于一用户装备、移动基站、固定或移动用户单元、寻呼机或任何形式可在无线环境下操作的装置。
图1是一用于MBMS信道切换的流程图。在一特定单元中,使用该服务的WTRUs数量是由步骤20所决定或估计,典型地,该信息是已知的。使用在该单元和/或其它单元信息中WTRUs的数目,例如单元状态、可得到的单元资源等等之类的信息,是否使用专用信道或公共/共享信道或两者皆用的选择,即步骤22。在信道选择决定之后,该MBMS数据就会映射至对应的信道,即步骤24。一种决定何种类型的信道被使用的可能的方法是阈值测试。如果WTRUs在单元的数量低于某值,则使用专用信道。该专用信道允许功率控制并且会利用传输差异技术(diversity techniques),当要进行高数据速率的MBMS传输时,这些技术是可取的,以有效率地使用可利用的资源。
如果WTRUs数量超出阈值,即使用公共/共享信道,例如一共享信道、一高速共享信道或一辅助共同控制物理信道(S-CCPCH)。一共享信道或高速共享信道能被用来同时传输MBMS数据给多个WTRUs。S-CCPCH则能被用来广播MBMS数据给多数个用户。典型地,该公共/共享信道就有较低的无线资源效率。
在另一可替换实施例中,使用一个两阈值的方案。如果在单元中使用MBMS的WTRUs的数量低于第一个阈值,即使用专用信道。如果数量在第一和第二阈值之间,即使用共享或高速共享信道。如果数量超过第二阈值,即使用共享信道来广播MBMS。
在某些状况下,可能最好使用共享和专用两种信道以支持MBMS。为了说明,很多使用的WTRUs可能会位于一起,例如在一基站,而少数或单个WTRU可能就在一基站外,在此情况下,单元资源最有效率的使用以支持MBMS可能是分配一共享信道给一基站上的WTRUs,而分配一专用信道给其它的WTRU。随着单元中用户的数量改变,单元状态改变或信道选择会周期性的重复使用新信息,即步骤26。
图2说明一用以执行信道切换的优选无线接入网络(RAN)。该RAN由管理用户服务的服务网络控制器(S-RNC)30以及管理单元物理资源的控制无线网络控制器(C-RNC)34所管理。提供S-RNCs 30及C-RNC34之间的协调以便RAN适当地操作的信号发出程序会被使用。
一信道切换实体(MBMS信道切换装置36)决定该用哪个信道,例如专用、共享或公共,提供MBMS传输且其也协调WTRUs 401至40N(40)的MBMS接收。MBMS数据则通过B节点38被送往WTRUs 40。
一信道切换的优选实施方式如下所述,一第一使用MBMS的WTRU 40能自主地进入和离开单元,其有关MBMS服务的分布及激活状态。当MBM首先为第一WTRU 40或少数在特定单元的用户建立时,专用信道会随着一辨识MBMS服务的独特无线链路(RL)指示器而建立。一欲使用其它MBMS的第二WTRU 40会具有一个不同的专用信道分派给该用户。当该RL为每一用户建立后,一独特MBMS指示器回从S-RNC 30发送信号至C-RNC 34。该MBMS指示器对每一提供给该用户的服务而言都是独特的。该C-RNC 34维护一所有对特定MBMS服务而言正在使用中的用户的数据库,且该群组被认知为MBMS用户群。
每一激活的MBMS服务的数据会由核心网络28通过MBMS数据流分配给C-RNC 34。一独特的与每一MBMS数据流相连的标识符允许该C-RNC 34以连接该数据与适当的用户或用户群,以便该数据能合适地路由。根据特定MBMS服务的激活用户数量及单元状态,该C-RNC 34将决定是否服务该在专用或共享/公共信道上传输。
由于个别用户自动地进入或离开该单元,专用和公共信道间的切换是动态的且可能在传输进行的时候发生。动态切换能适用于下行共享信道(DSCH),数据能在DSCH上送出以被单一用户接收被称为专用DSCH(C-DSCH),或被多个用户同时接收就被称为公共DSCH(C-DSCH)。对一特定的MBMS来说,当仅有一个用户或少数用户在单元内离开,对用户来说DSCH将成为D-DSCH。当与特定的MBMS相关的用户数量增加时,将为该MBMS用户群建立C-DSCH。
当第一WTRU 40在单元内被激活,一D-DSCH将为该第一用户建立。MBMS传输可能就不需要连续处于激活状态。在DSCH上MBMS的传输会被指示给在相连专用信道上的该第一WTRU 40。这项指示可在传输时间间隙(TTI)基础上开启或关闭。
C-DSH也许在物理上与D-DSCH相同。然而不同之处在于,与位于MBMS用户群组中的专用信道有关的个人用户的DSCH传输信号为同步传输。其允许MBMS用户群组中的所有用户能接收到共同的DSCH传输。一指示会随同MBMS传输而发出信号,以指示MBMS传输使用于特定用户或是MBMS用户群组中的一般用户。这允许功率控制技术的适当操作、传输多元化、或任何其它独特的物理传输特性。专用DSCH与一般DSCH之间的MBMS转换优选对WTRU40是透明的。
在另一实施例中,信道转换应用于高速DSCH(HS-DSCH)上。使用HS-DSCH而不是DSCH的差异在于其并非于和C-RNC34相关的专用信道上使用同步分配,而是同步分配被提供于B节点38的HS-DSCH控制信道。
在又一实施例中,转换可以在不使用相关专用信道下,于专用物理信道与一般物理信道之间发生。专用信道与一般信道之间的信道转换会明确地以信号通知每个用户。RAN第三层协议允许发送无线电帧(radio frame)至专用与一般信道之间的转换。信号发送由为转换发送无线电帧信号或由发送传输排程信息的方式来执行。图3与图4为允许不同单元与不同内单元MBMS传输来排入不同顺序的流程图。为了说明起见,假设一第一单元能够在一无线电帧内传输大量MBMS数据至WTRUs,而第二单元不能。结果,在第一单元内的MBMS传输可能超前第二单元一或多个无线电帧或TTIs。
为了说明位于单元中之内单元,一组用户位于一基站中并接受一般DSCH服务,而另一位于同一个单元中的用户处于基站外并接受专用信道或专用DSCH的服务,以充分利用电波形式(beam forming)及功率控制。根据DSCH负载及其它因素,基站WTRUs 40的传输领先或落后WTRU外的传输,都是令人满意的。假如位于WTRUs外的用户进入基站,最有可能令人满意地转换WTRU 40至一般DSCH,并解除专用信道。在这种情况下,外部WTRU 40需要赶上一般DSCH的传输,或是允许该传输赶上WTRU 40已接收到的区段。
为了维持持续的服务分配并更有效率地利用无线电资源,MBMS传输优选地区段化或排程化,以让用户能以任意顺序接收到MBMS服务传输的元素。因此,MBMS服务传输并不需要于用户进入该单元时进行再次初始化,且用户也不需要等待与存在的MBMS服务传输进行同步化。
图3为使用频带内区段信息来处理内单元或单元间的不同MBMS传输顺序。跟随MBMS传输,区段信息随着MBMS数据一起传输,步骤42。该区段信息通常包含一区段标识,以使每个接收WTRU能辨别其接收的区段。当特定WTRU于MBMS发射源间移动时(单元或转换信道之间),步骤44,WTRU能从新的MBMS来源接收区段,并重组该传输以恢复所有的MBMS数据,步骤46。
图5为WRTU 40接收不同MBMS传输的简化方框图。WRTU 40使用一天线54来接收MBMS传输。MBMS接收器56从不同发射源接收MBMS传输,其中包含了频带内区段信息。一区段信息恢复装置58用以回复区段信息。使用分割信息及接收MBMS区段,一MBMS分割重组装置60系重组区段以回复MBMS数据。
图4为使用频带外传输排程信息来控制不同MBMS传输顺序流程图。一WTRU从一特定来源接收MBMS传输,步骤48。WTRU也接收频带外排程信息,步骤50。当WTRU移动至不同的源,WTRU能从新的来源接收MBMS数据,并使用该来源频带外排程数据来重组MBMS接收区段,步骤52。
图6为WRTU接收不同MBMS传输的简化方框图。WTRU 40使用一天线54来接收MBMS传输。MBMS接收器64从不同发射源接收MBMS传输。一频带外同步信息装置62从多重发射源接收同步信息。使用同步信息及接收的MBMS区段,MBMS区段重组装置68重组区段以恢复MBMS数据。
图3及图4的方法皆允许位于单元内的用户在专用与公共信道之间进行适当的转换,而不需中断或延迟MBMS传输。此外,即使新单元与旧单元之间的传输顺序不同,进入单元的WTRU仍能持续接收MBMS的服务。一旦MBMS传输数据被接收,WTRU将依据频带内区段和/或频带外传输排程信息来记录信息。
由于提供了频带内分割或频带外排程,遗失或失败的传输能由WTRU知道何时再传输而被有效地恢复。RNC MBMS再传输排程也能由考虑到WTRUs的转换接收而降低。进一步地说,假如RNC知道所有用户皆接收到一特定MBMS区段,该区段的再传输就能被预防。

Claims (2)

1.一种无线传输/接收单元,用以在不同时间接收来自多组发射源的一多媒体传播/多媒体服务,所述多组发射源以不同的次序传输所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务数据,其特征在于所述无线传输/接收单元包含:
一天线,其耦合至所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务接收器;
一多媒体传播/多媒体服务接收器,其用以接收来自每个所述发射源的所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务区段;
一区段信息恢复装置,其耦合至所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务接收器,用以接收以带有所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务区段的频带而被传输的一区段信息;以及
一多媒体传播/多媒体服务区段重组装置,其耦合至所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务接收器与所述区段信息恢复装置,以重组基于所述区段信息的所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务区段,且具有一输出用以产生来自所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务区段的所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务数据。
2.一种无线传输/接收单元,其用以在不同时间接收来自多组发射源的一多媒体传播/多媒体服务,所述多组发射源以不同的次序传输所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务数据,其特征在于所述无线传输/接收单元包含:
一天线,其耦合至所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务接收器与所述频带外同步信息接收器;
一多媒体传播/多媒体服务接收器,其用以接收来自每个所述发射源的所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务区段;
一频带外同步信息接收器,其用以接收来自每个发射源的一频带外同步信息;以及
一多媒体传播/多媒体服务区段重组装置,其耦合至所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务接收器与所述频带外同步信息接收器,以重组基于所述同步信息的所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务区段,且具有一输出用以产生利用所述重组区段的所述多媒体传播/多媒体服务数据。
