1294090 九、發明說明: 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本毛明7C有關於-種個A電腦之互動式輸入裝置及遊 戲周邊設備,特別是指一種可自體發射紅外線予道具,並 掘取該道具反射紅外線之影像以取得其相關位置資訊的互 動式輸入裝置及其遊戲周邊設備。 【先前技術】 目前電視遊戲(TV game)或電腦遊戲(PC game)已是常 見的休fm方式,以_般電腦遊戲為例,多是在電腦裝 :上安裝遊戲軟體,再搭配電腦裝置的螢幕及現有的輸入 例汝鍵i⑺乳或搖桿等對遊戲軟體進行控制;然 而亦有格配廉商銷售之遊戲軟體的互動式道具,例如跳舞 遊戲則而I冑步台’或射擊遊戲需要一玩具槍等。以跳 ,遊戲為例〜、要玩豕依螢幕上顯現的提示圖帛,在踏步 作出正確的踏步動作即可。而諸如此類搭配有實體的 互動式道具的電腦遊戲,均是為了提供玩家活潑有趣、更 具有臨場感的互動式體驗。 如圖1所不’為方便說明起見,以美國專利公開號 2004006348號所揭示的一滁万翻4、达拙壯哩 1種互動式迦戲裝置700為例來說 明其構件及作用原理。 互動式遊戲裝置700具有二讀狀的指示道纟715及 二6/ —踏步台720、—螢幕裝置730、-視訊攝影機75〇、 ^戲盒760及-主機裝置77()。其中,主機裝置77〇安裝 遊戲軟體;指示道具Μ、716分別由玩家期的左右手 1294090 握持,且指示道具715、716上分別在其端部附有發光物件 (light s〇urce)715a-b、716a-b;螢幕裝置73〇可顯示遊戲軟 體中例如一虛擬的舞者731在跳舞的影像;主機裝置77〇 可以是電腦裝置或遊戲機台;螢幕裝置73〇、視訊攝影機 750與遊戲盒76〇係分別連接在主機裝置77〇上。 使用上述的互動式遊戲裝置700進行跳舞遊戲時,玩 家7〇5需開啟(Turn on)指示道具710、711的電源以使發光 物件715a-b、716a-b得以發光,讓視訊攝影機75〇可偵測 發光物件715a-b、716a-b的影像,進而由遊戲盒76〇計算 該發光物件715a-b、716a_b的位置等參數,最後將其輸I 到主機裝置770來完成玩家7〇5跳舞動作的判讀。 然而,道具715、716的發光物件715a讣、716a_b其發 光方式若使用一般光源,若受到四周環境光線的影響,則 使得視訊攝影機750讀取影像後在遊戲盒76〇進行影像處 理時不易識別出正確的位置造成誤判。 【發明内容】 為克服上述缺點,本發明構思若類似的道具及視訊攝 影機若能使道具呈非可見光(例如紅外線)之影像顯示,便能 不又外界干检而更精準地定位該道具之位置,除可使影像 處理減少運算量,亦可減低誤判的機率。 口此本卷明之目的,即在於提供一種可擷取由道且 表面所反射特定頻段之紅外線影像,輯該影像計算以取 得其相關位置資訊並加以顯示的個人電腦之互動式輸入裝 置及遊戲周邊設備。 1294090 本發明個人電腦之互動式輸入裝置,係提供一個人電 腦之顯示器上顯示出一道具之相對位置,該道具可發出一 特疋頻段之光束’該互動式輸入裝置包含一濾光元件、一 影像感測器及-介面模組,該濾光元件用以濾除環境中非 該特定頻段之光線以通過由該道具表面所發出之該光束; 該影像感測器用以接收該光束,並將該光束轉換為一影像 訊號;該介面模組電連接該影像感測器,用以將該影像訊 =出為符合—電腦周邊協定之資料袼式並輸出至該個人 電腦之傳輸介面,由該個人電腦接收並加以運算後,可在 該顯示器上顯示出該道具之相對位置。 本發明個人電腦之遊戲周邊設備包含一道具及一互動 式輸入裝置,該這具係提供一個人電腦之顯示器上顯示出 該道具之相對位置,該道具可發出一特定頻段之光束;該 互動式輸入裝置包含一渡光元件、一影像感測器及一介面 模組,該濾光元件用以濾除環境中的可見光以通過由該道 具表面所發出之該光束;該影像感測器用以接收該光束, 並將該光束轉換為一影像訊號;該介面模組電連接該影像 感測器,用u將該影像訊號輸出$符合一電腦周邊協定之 資料格式並輸出至該個人電腦之傳輪介面,由該個人電腦 接收並加以運算後,可在該顯示器上顯示出該道具之相對 位置。 【實施方式】 有關本發明之前述及其他技術内容、特點與功效,在 以下配合參考圖式之一較佳實施例的詳細說明中,將可清 1294090 楚的明白。此外,必須訪昍 θ 、月的疋,雖然本較佳實施例是以 電腦遊戲為例來說明,“其概念之應用並不限於此,例 如亦可以是使用於例如商務展示、教學等其它應用層面。 如圖2所不’在本發明個人電腦之遊戲周邊設備100 的較佳實施例中’該遊戲周邊Μ _包含有-互動式輸 入裝置2及一道呈3,JLtb ττι 、 八 八中,互動式輸入裝置2是連接在 一们人電月自5上的視訊攝影機,係置放在個人電腦$之顯 示螢幕51上以擷取一玩家6手持道具3之影像,該互動式 輸入裝置2並以-連接線25與主機裝置52後的傳輸介面( 圖未不)相連’本I施例之傳輪介面為使用—通用序列匯流 排(⑽)介面’亦可使用通用非同步接收傳送(uart)介面 機裝置52中安|有遊戲軟體之應用程式,且須為電腦 之主機、電腦遊戲機台或類似的裝置。 互動式輸入裝置2具有一機身2〇、一設在機身2〇前方 之、兄員22及„又在鏡頭22二側的紅外線發射器24丨、242 ,鏡頭22前端並設置有一濾光元件22工。 紅外線發射器241、242係將其所產生之紅外線光譜之 光束朝向該道具3發射,在本實施例中,紅外線發射器241 、242之數量為二組’然而亦可設置在鏡頭22四周成四組 ’以增加紅外線發射器241、242之數量來提高所發射之紅 外光的強度及均勻度。 濾光元件221為可分離地外加於鏡頭22的一濾光片 (Optical filter),例如市售的一種紅外線濾光片⑽仙打), 便可遽除波長8GGnm以下的可見光,而確保波長_以 1294090 上特定頻段之紅外線通過;然而,濾光元件221亦可與嗜 CMOS影像感測裔211前端之一玻璃層(圖未示)相結合的方 式末達到;慮除可見光以通過紅外線的相同效。 : 1矛、ί上述 反射的方式之外,道具3亦可以是自行發出紅外線光譜之 光束的方式供互動式輸入裝置2讀取。 曰 至於道具3可以是是球類或棍棒類等可移動的配件, 且暹具3的數量亦可為多數。在本較佳實施例中,則是以 玩家6握持一棍棒表示來說明道具3的使用,在道具3之 本體31表面上貼覆一層反光布32,該反光布32之材質可 為符合例如ΕΝ471規格以反射紅外線光譜之光束。 配合圖2、3所示,說明本發明互動式輸入裝置2之原 理,疋由互動式輸入裝置2的鏡頭22透過濾光元件221接 收自道具3表面反射至互動式輸人裝置2之光束3()ι,且該 光束301之頻段屬於紅外線光譜之範圍,互動式輸入裴置2 内部安裝有-攝像模組21,該攝像模組21的功能以貞測經 。亥濾光兀件221濾除環境中的可見光後通過該道具3表面 反射之該紅外線光譜之光束3〇1,供個人電腦5後續使用。 该攝像模組21係由一影像感測器211、一類比數位轉 換器212及一介面模組213所整合成的一單晶片,必須說 明的是,其它實施例中,亦可以將影像感測器2ιι及類比數 位轉換為212整合為一單晶片再與介面模組213連接。 其中,影像感測器211可以是cM〇s及CCD其中任一 種衫像感/則為211,其主要功能是偵測該入射光束3〇1並轉 換為一影像訊號201供類比數位轉換器212使用;類比數 1294090 位轉換器212係將影像訊號2〇1轉換為一數位影像訊號2〇2 後輸出予電腦5之傳輸介面521 ;本較佳實施例中,該介面 杈組23係通用序列匯流排(USB)介面處理器,將數位影像 成5虎202轉為符合通用序列匯流排協定之資料格式供個人 電恥5之傳輸介面52使用,或者可使用一通用非同步接收 傳送(UART)之資料格式。
