Abstract

1,074,769. Container closures. ANCHOR HOCKING GLASS CORPORATION. Aug. 27, 1965 [Feb. 11, 1965], No. 36942/65. Heading B8T. A cap for a threaded or lugged container 12, Fig. 2, not shown, has an inwardly rolled bead 7 around its skirt 3 interrupted by spaced, thread or lug-engaging lugs 8 which, at their innermost portions comprise a double thickness fold 9. The cap may be centrally depressed and combined with a paperboard liner 15 with a sealing membrane 14 so that on removing the cap the liner is removed from the membrane by the lugs 8.
