Abstract
Description
The invention relates to agriculture, relates to increasing the yield of white cabbage and can be used by personal subsidiary and farms in the cultivation of vegetable crops. The method consists in sprinkling cabbage plants twice with an aqueous solution of baker's yeast after transplanting the seedlings into the ground two weeks after transplanting the seedlings in the field and during the period when the heads of cabbage are set. The technical result of the invention is to increase the adaptive capabilities of plants, the ability to resist stress factors and pests, accelerate the growth and development processes, increase the yield and quality of cultivated products.
To increase the resistance of plants to stressful conditions, to diseases and to increase the yield of vegetable crops, biologically active substances, mineral and organic fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides are currently used to protect them from pests, diseases and weeds.
[5].A known method of increasing the yield of cabbage and other vegetable crops, including pre-sowing treatment of seeds and vegetative plants with an aqueous solution of bacterial fertilizers "Azotovit" and "Phosphatovit". The disadvantage of the invention is the high cost and short shelf life of the preparations, as well as the need for three-time processing of seeds and vegetative plants of cabbage [5].
[7].There is a known method of increasing the yield of cabbage by three-fold processing of seedlings in phases of four and six leaves with an aqueous solution of biologically active substances dissolved in sea water and additional fertilizing of plants after transplanting seedlings in the field with an interval of 7 days before the stage of setting the head of cabbage. In order to exclude soil salinization, it is necessary to first reduce the content of sodium, magnesium, and calcium salts in seawater [7].
The disadvantage of this method is the need for many manipulations with sea water, which reduces economic efficiency.
[1].A known method of growing cabbage, including feeding vegetative plants with a water-soluble mixture of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers during the growth period by irrigation [1].
The disadvantage of this method is the high cost of fertilizers, some of which are not used by plants, as well as a decrease in some indicators of the quality of finished products, in particular, an increase in the content of nitrates and a decrease in the safety of cabbage heads in winter.
A known method of increasing the yield of vegetable crops by spraying the aerial part of vegetative plants of vegetable crops with an aqueous solution of the drug "Fitofert Energy N 15-5-33 Active" two weeks after planting seedlings.
[5-6].The disadvantage is the low solubility of the drug and the difficulty of preparing the working solution [5-6].
The closest in technical essence to the claimed inventions is a well-known method of improving the quality of cabbage by using the growth regulator growth moment, produced by JSC Yeast Plant (Republic of Belarus) based on fodder yeast [2-3]. The drug is specially manufactured for use in vegetable growing and contains, in addition to proteins, mono- and polysaccharides, derivatives of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, PP and biologically active substances, specific additives in the form of macro- and microelements (potassium, magnesium, phosphorus , manganese, iron, copper, calcium, sodium). The disadvantage of the drug is its low solubility and effectiveness.
Thus, a patent search for other similar methods of cultivation of white cabbage available today shows that they have limited application in the practice of cultivation of cabbage due to their high cost, difficulty in preparing working solutions, and a decrease in the quality of the products obtained. In addition, when using them, there is a risk of residual amounts of biologically active substances, nitrates, herbicides and pesticides in the finished product.
The proposed method of stimulating the growth of cabbage by spraying plants with an aqueous solution of baker's yeast after planting the seedlings in the ground and successfully engrafting the seedlings in a permanent place and repeated root feeding with the same solution during the beginning of the setting of heads of cabbage is devoid of these disadvantages.
Experiments to study the effect of baker's yeast on the growth and development of white cabbage, as well as on the yield and quality indicators of grown products were carried out during 2016-2020. on sod-podzolic soils of loamy type with a low content of mineral nutrients in the Cheboksary region of the Chuvash Republic.
Для повышения энергии прорастания и всхожести семена капусты замачивались в растворе 0,001% водной вытяжки биогумуса в течение 12 часов, что позволило улучшить эти показатели на 8,8 -10% по сравнению с контрольным вариантом (замачивание водой).For the experiments, the mid-season variety of white cabbage Nadezhda was chosen, which is cold-resistant, resistant to common cabbage diseases, to head cracking and is used both for preparing various dishes and salads, and for fermentation [4]. To increase the energy of germination and germination, cabbage seeds were soaked in a solution of 0.001% aqueous extract of vermicompost for 12 hours, which made it possible to improve these indicators by 8.8 -10% in comparison with the control option (soaking with water).
20-30%.After picking, the seedlings were transplanted into plastic boxes with separate cells and were sprayed once with an aqueous solution of Kornevin to improve the process of root formation. The use of a solution of vermicompost and Kornevin contributed to the production of healthy seedlings with a powerful root system and a decrease in microbiota contamination by 20-30%.
After planting seedlings in open ground, the first treatment in the form of root watering of cabbage plants was carried out after complete survival of the seedlings for 14-20 days at the rate of 500 ml of working fluid per plant. An aqueous solution of baker's yeast was prepared by dissolving 100 g of dry baker's yeast in 10 liters of water. Due to the cultivation of cabbage on low-fertile sod-podzolic soil with a humus content in the range of 1.6-1.7%, when transplanting seedlings, vermicompost was added to each hole at the rate of 100 g per plant.
The second watering of plants was carried out in the phase of the beginning of the formation of heads of cabbage at the rate of 500 ml of working fluid per plant.
Already after the first watering, the plants of the experimental group noticeably increased the rate of growth of the vegetative mass, which was facilitated by amino acids, proteins, mono- and polysaccharides, derivatives of vitamins B 1, B 2 , B 3 , B 6 , PP and biologically active substances that are part of baker's yeast ... Their complex action is based on the activation of biochemical processes in a living cell and the migration mobility of micro- and macroelements in the soil, as well as an increase in the assimilation of nutrients from the composition of biohumus.
The rapid growth of cabbage after watering with a baker's yeast solution protects young plants from damage by cabbage or black flea beetles, and also helps to compete with weeds. Therefore, the effect of baker's yeast can be compared with the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides, which are undesirable to use on vegetables. In the control variant, due to the high percentage of edible leaves and damage to the roots of cabbage by the black flea beetle, it was necessary to annually treat with an aqueous solution of Intavir.
Determination of biometric indicators of cabbage showed that the use of baker's yeast increases the number of leaves and leaf area. Thus, the analysis of the mass of the aboveground part showed that the growth and biomass of plants in the experimental variants turned out to be 14-22% more than in the control. Subsequently, these changes contributed to the formation of a higher yield of cabbage heads.
The average yield in the control variants over the years was 51-58 t / ha, and in the variants using an aqueous solution of baker's yeast - 64-72 t / ha. In addition, in the plants of the experimental plots, the content of dry matter, vitamin C, and sugars turned out to be 6-9% higher. At the same time, the concentration of nitrates turned out to be even lower than the values of the control variants, which can be explained by their transformation into the composition of amino acids and proteins, which was reflected in the increase in the dry matter content in the cabbage heads.
Thus, the use of baker's yeast against the background of the use of biohumus and the root formation stimulator Kornevin allows to reduce the effects of stress factors during transplanting seedlings, to increase the survival rate when transplanting into open ground, to increase the protective functions of plants to adverse weather conditions, to diseases and pests, to accelerate the development, growth. and the passage of physiological phases, to increase the yield and quality of white cabbage.
