Inventia se refera la un cutit de taiere a firelor de smocuri la masinile de tesut tip Axminster. Cutitul, conform inventiei, permite usurarea reglarii si sporirea posibilitatii de ascutire în care scop mijlocul de fixare este sub forma unei placi presate fixa si prevazuta cu gauri filetate, în fiecare din acestea fiind însurubat câte un surub de fixare, ce trece prin câte o gaura practicata într-o placa de presare paralela cu prima. Se utilizeaza în industria textila.
