Abstract

473,569. Stapling and dressing fibres. TUTIHASI, K. July 7, 1936, No. 18848. [Classes 120 (i) and 120 (iii)] Apparatus for stapling and combing or dressing continuous fibre comprises square bars 8 carried on endless chains 7 which are mounted on a pair of revolving cylinders 1, 1<1>, stapling and combing or dressing drums 20, 9 being arranged near the upper straight side of the endless chain. Continuous artificial fibre is unwound from a drum 19 and is held between the bars 8 by semicircular or U-shaped rods 18, and the fibre is first stapled by the angularly-disposed needled or spiked drum 20 as set forth in Specification 457,022 and then combed by the drum 9.
