Abstract

1,125,475. Pulp refiners. CELLECO A.B. 14 Oct., 1966 [28 Oct., 1965], No. 45953/66. Heading B2A. [Also in Division D2] A paper stock beating machine has two concentric groups of elongate knives 1, 4, Fig. 3, the knives and cutting edges of one group crossing the knives and cutting edges of the other. The side impact surfaces of at least one of the groups of knives has alternating notches 11 and teeth 12, Fig. 4, which form the respective cutting edges of the knives and extend across the impact surfaces in a direction transverse to the said cutting edges, being cut in said surfaces, along the knives, in the form of transverse serrations. This prevents particles sliding along the knives.
