Abstract

1303118 Milling cutters STANRAY CORP 21 July 1970 35250/70 Heading B3K A form milling cutter 10, Fig. 3, for cutting wheels, comprises a body 12 having a plurality of diagonally arranged cutting buttons 24, Fig. 1 (not shown). The buttons are mounted in blades 22, screwed to the body, or in a modification, certain of the buttons are mounted between the blades, Fig. 2 (not shown). The buttons may be arranged so as to form a helix, and the direction of the axes of the buttons may vary in the cutting areas 22a, 22b, 22c, Fig. 8. The buttons may be arranged so that buttons taking increments of cut along the helix do not lie on adjacent blades.
