Abstract

A paper shredding machine comprises sawtoothed disc cutters 3, 4 mounted on shafts 1, 2 respectively, the distance between the centre lines of the shafts being less than the diameter of the cutters and the distance between adjacent cutters being such that there is a space between a cutter on one of the shafts and each of the adjoining cutters on the other shaft. The cutters 3 are thinner than the cutters 4.
