Description
Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób wytwarzania niejonowych eterów celulozy o ulepszonych wlasnos¬ ciach, takich jak wysoka hydrofilowosc dla danej temperatury flokulacji, male zmiany temperatury flokulacji przy zmniejszonym ciezarze czasteczkowym (lepkosci) i szczególne wlasnosci hydrodynamiczne czasteczek co jest wazne w eterach celulozy o zwiekszonej lepkosci. Ponadto, produkty wytworzone sposobem wedlug wynalazku maja duza klarownosc, mala zawartosc zelów oraz szeroki i zmienny zakres temperatur flokulacji.Pochodne celulozy, takie jak hydroksyetyloceluloza (HEC), hydroksypropyloceluloza (HPC), metylohydro- ksyetyloceluloza (MHEC), etylohydroksyetyloceluloza (EHEC) oraz metylohydroksypropyloceluloza (MHPC) stosuje sie zwykle jako srodki wiazace, zageszczajace oraz srodki filmotwórcze o szerokim zastosowaniu.Charakterystyke eterów celulozy mozna dostosowac w zaleznosci od przewidywanego zastosowania, przez odpowiedni dobór podstawników i zmiane ich podstawienia molekularnego (MS) lub stopnia podstawienia (DS).Ogólnie biorac, pozadane sa pochodne celulozy o duzej klarownosci, malej zawartosci zelu, jak równiez o zmiennej temperaturze flokulacji oraz lepkosci, co umozliwia latwe ich dostosowanie do róznych koncowych zastosowan.Struktura morfologiczna celulozy jest jedna z najwazniejszych przyczyn wystepowania tak zwanych skladników wlóknistych i zelowych w roztworach eterów celulozy. Nawet jesli widzialna golym okiem czesc wlókien usunie sie, to jednak niewidzialne skladniki nadaja eterom celulozy wlasnosci, powodujace powazne wady technologiczne. Jest faktem znanym, ze uzycie tlenku etylenu do wprowadzenia podstawników do celulozy nawet przy wzglednie malym MS w znacznym stopniu ulatwia wprowadzanie innych podstawników do czasteczki celulozy przez zwiekszenie odleglosci miedzy czasteczkami celulozy, zwlaszcza w obszarach wlókien o dobrym Uporzadkowaniu, oraz przez zwiekszenie liczby pierwszorzedowych grup hydroksylowych przypadaja¬ cych na jedno ogniwo glikozowe, co ogólnie biorac, powoduje zwiekszenie reaktywnosci celulozy. « ¦ Na skutek zwiekszonej dostepnosci i reaktywnosci podstawienie czasteczki celulozy jest bardziej jednorod¬ ne w kazdym wlóknie i wzdluz kazdej czasteczki, co ulatwia solwatyzacje i zmniejsza liczbe skladników2 89 900 wlóknistych i zelowych. Jesli do wprowadzenia podstawników do celulozy stosuje sie sam tlenek etylenu, wówczas wystepuja trudnosci zarówno produkcyjne, jak i w dalszym zastosowaniu, poniewaz hydroksyetylocelu- loza (HEC) jest tak hydrofilowa, ze jej temperatura flokulacji przekracza 100°C. Dlatego tez nie moze byc ona oczyszczana za pomoca goracej wody, lecz konieczne jest uzycie cieczy organicznych, co powoduje PL
Claims (1)
1. zastrzezenia sanitarne, wysokie koszty procesu oraz duza zawartosc popiolu w produkcie koncowym. Poniewaz w takiej celulozie równowaga hydrofilowo-lipofilowa (HLB) jest zawsze wysoka, przeto czasteczka ta nie jest odpowiednia do ukladów wymagajacych niskich wartosci HLB. Nastepny wyzszy homolog tlenku etylenu, to jest tlenek propylenu, nie posiada tej samej aktywnosci do rozpoczecia reakcji przy niskim podstawieniu molekularnym (MS). Przy wyzszych wartosciach MS mozna otrzymac produkt wysokogatunkowy, lecz na skutek hydrofobowego charakteru, jaki nadaje eterowi celulozy podstawnik propylowy, temperatura flokulacji bedzie tak niska, ze przemyslowe wykorzystanie produktów w roztworach wodnych jest powaznie ograniczone. Trzecim typem niejonowych eterów celulozy sa tak zwane etery alkilocelulozowe, na przyklad metylo- i etyloceluloza. Ze wzgledu na hydrofobowy charakter podstawników metylowego i etylowego, temperatura flokulacji w zakresie rozpuszczalnosci w wodzie bedzie ponizej okolo 55°C, co ogranicza uzytecznosc tych eterów. W celu rozszerzenia zakresu zastosowan eterów celulozy, wprowadza sie podstawniki alkilowe wraz z podstawnikami hydroksyalkilowymi, wytwarzajac takie etery jak wspomniane wyzej MHEC, EHEC i MHPC. Na skutek hydrofobowego charakteru grup alkilowych i hydrofilowego lub slabo hydrofobowego charakteru grup hydroksyalkilowych w przypadku kiedy pozadane jest, aby produkt mozna bylo przemywac goraca woda, przewazac bedzie podstawienie alkilowe, co nadaje otrzymywanym eterom celulozy wzglednie hydrofobowy charakter.
