Abstract

Analoger av proteiner i FGF- familien er tilveiebrakt i henhold til foreliggende oppfinnelse. Disse analogene er mer stabile enn de tilsvarende naturlig forekommende proteiner. Økt stabilitet kan oppnås ved å substituere minst én aminosyre som har et større sløyfedannende poten- siale, for en aminosyrerest som har et lavere sløyfedannende potensiale, i et identifisert sløyfedannende område i aminosyresekvensen til proteinet. Analogene ifølge foreliggende oppfin- nelse er spesielt anvendbare ved terapeutiske anvendelser.
