Abstract

En ny metode for fremstilling av titandioksydoppslemminger som har et høyt faststoffinnhold omfatter å underkaste en vandig oppslemming av titandioksyd for krysstrømfiltrering for å fremstille en oppslemming som inneholder minst 50 vekt%, foretrukket 60 til 80 vekt% titandioksyd. Oppslemmingen kan vaskes under filtreringen for å redusere konsentrasjonen av oppløselige ioner. Ved prosessen kan det fremstilles konsentrerte oppslemminger av titandioksyd som har bemerk- elsesverdig lave viskositeter.
