Nye DNA molekyler som omfatter multifunksjonelle replikasjonsorlgoer og/eller en DNA sekvens kodende for det mest tilstedeværende proteinet l supernatanten av kulturer av Lactococcus spee., betegnet hovedutsklll- elsesprodukt (MSP), på grunn av dets signalpeptld og/eller promoteren til MSP genet, er tllvelebragt. De nye DNA molekylene blir anvendt for fremstilling av nye shyttelvektorer for kloning av DNA l minst E.coli og Lactococcus spee. eller nye vektorer for ekspresjon av homologe eller heterologe gener og produksjon av utskilte genprodukter l gram-positlve bakterier såsom Lactococcus spee. og Bacllolus spec.
