Abstract

The couplable bogie proposed is equipped with a rigid frame for carrying and tilting the body of a high-speed rail vehicle. The running gear bogie has a movable unit (11, 11') with at least two individual wheelsets (2, 3, 2', 3'). These are mounted in pairs on a common frame (4, 4') which rests via direct spring suspension (5, 5') on each wheelset (2, 3, 2', 3'). Also fitted are means (9, 9') for carrying and tilting the vehicle body (8, 8'). The frames (4, 4') are connected to each other by a separable coupling system (6, 6'). The system has a zero-length coupling half to which is linked a control device (7, 7') for controlling the position of the wheelsets (2, 3, 2', 3') as a function of the radius of the curve. This gives a couplable bogie with a rigid frame for carrying and tilting the body of a high-speed rail vehicle.
