Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse gjelder fremstilling av elektrokjemiske kondensatorer med et dobbelt elektrisk lag (DEL). De foreslåtte elektroder med DEL er basert på ledende ikke-metallmaterialer, innbefattet porøse karbonmaterialer, og er i stand til å gi elektrokjemiske kondensatorer høye spesifikke energi-, kapasitets- og effektparametere. Det kan sørges for konduktivitet av p-type og høy konsentrasjon av hull i elektrodematerialet ved hjelp av termisk, ionisk eller elektrokjemisk doping med akseptorurenheter, bestråling med raske høyenergipartikler eller -kvanta, eller kjemisk, elektrokjemisk og/eller termisk behandling. Foreliggende oppfinnelse åpner for en økning i spesifikke energi-, kapasitets- og effektparametere så vel som en reduksjon i prisen på forskjellige elektrokjemiske kondensatorer med DEL. De foreslåtte elektroder med DEL kan brukes som positive og/eller negative elektroder i symmetriske og asymmetriske elektrokjemiske kondensatorer med vandige og ikke-vandige elektrolytter.
