Abstract
Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for drift av en destillasjonskolonne for ^eming av vann og laverekokende komponenter enn 1,2-dikloretan fra 1,2-dikloretan for i det minste en del av varmen fra kondensasjon av de vandige dampene fra destillasjonskolonnen anvendes for å konsenttere kaustisk sodaoppløsning ved inndampning; videre anvendes minst del av 1,2-dikloretanet dannet når klor og etylen reagerer i en direkte kloreringsenhet til å oppvarme nevnte destillasjonskolonne og kan deretter også anvendes som et varmeoverføringsfluid for å konsenttere kaustisk sodaoppløsning ved inndampning.
