Abstract
Den foreliggende oppfinnelse angår en fremgangsmåte og et apparat for forsterkning av et organisk materiales energiinnhold gjennom omdannelse av materialet til hydrokarboner og produktet som følger herav. Det redegjøres for en fremgangsmåte for omdannelse av organisk materiale til hydrokarbonbrensel. Fremgangsmåten omfatter trinnene for trykksetting av det organiske materialet i en væske til over 225 bar og oppvarming av det organiske materialet i væsken til en temperatur over 200 ?C i nærvær av en homogen katalysator som omfatter en forbindelse av minst ett grunnstoff av gruppe IA i grunnstoffenes periodesystem. Fremgangsmåten det redegjøres for, omfatter ytterligere trinnene for opprettelse av kontakt mellom det organiske materialet i væsken og en heterogen katalysator som omfatter minst ett grunnstoff av gruppe IVB i periodesystemet og/eller alfa-alumina, hvilket sikrer at væsken i begynnelsen har en pH-verdi over 7.
