Abstract
Multifunksjonelt materiale med et lag av karbondopet titanoksid hvor karbon er dopet til en tilstand med Ti-C-bindinger, har utmerket holdbarhet (høy hardhet, ripefasthet, slitasjebestandighet, kjemisk bestandighet, varmebestandighet) og fungerer som en fotokatalysator som responderer på synlig lys En fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av det multifunksjonelle materiale omfatter å varmebehandle overflaten på substratet, som har minst ett overflatelag omfattende titan, en titanlegering, et titanlegeringsoksid eller titanoksid, i en atmosfære med forbrenningsgass av en gass som inneholder et hydrokarbon som primær komponent, eller i en gassatmosfære som inneholder et hydrokarbon som primær komponent, eller eksponere overflaten på substratet direkte for en gassflamme av en gass som inneholder et hydrokarbon som primær komponent, slik at overflaten får en temperatur på 900-1500(C
