Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a slave actuator to be decelerated and follow even in the track pull-in of short distance jump, by setting travel targeted speed corresponding to the distance of jump so as to set high speed in a long distance and low speed in a short distance. CONSTITUTION:The travel targeted speed just before the pull-in to a targeted track is set so as to be the high speed in the long distance and the low speed in the short distance corresponding to the distance of the jump. In other words, in the short distance jump, beam travel speed at a deceleration start point P2 is set so as to be delayed by DELTAV compared with that in long distance jump in advance. As a result, the speed of the slave actuator in the short distance jump is decreased following up a main actuator, and it is possible to set the speed at a point Q2 in servo ON at the same speed as that at a point Q1 in the long distance jump in the servo ON. In such a way, it is possible to improve the stabilization of the jump when two actuators are interlocked and perform the jump.
