Abstract

Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte til minskning av N0- og N0-konsentrasjon fra restgassen ved salpetersyreproduksjon. Fremgangsmåten omfatter å føre restgassen som forlater absorpsjonstårnet før innføring i restgassturbinen gjennom en kombinasjon av to trinn. Herved blir NO-innholdet redusert i det første trinnet og i det andre trinnet reduseres NO-innholdet i gassen. NO/N0-forholdet ved innføring av gassen i det andre trinnet ligger i området fira 0,001 til 0,5 og denne gassen blir i det andre trinnet brakt i kontakt med en katalysator som i det vesentlige inneholder én eller flere med jern ladede zeolitter.
