Abstract

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Verringerung der Emission von Oxiden des Stickstoffs bei der Salpetersäureproduktion sowie eine dafür geeignete Anlage. Das Verfahren umfasst die Maßnahmen: i) Erzeugen von Ammoniak durch katalytische Umsetzung von Stickstoff mit Wasserstoff in einer Ammoniakanlage (100), ii) Einleiten des erzeugten Ammoniaks in eine Salpetersäureanlage (200), iii) Verbrennung des Ammoniaks zu Oxiden des Stickstoffs in der Salpetersäureanlage (200), iv) Waschen des Oxide des Stickstoffs enthaltenden Gases mit Wasser in mindestens einem stromabwärts zur Ammoniakverbrennung angeordneten Absorptionsturm zur Erzeugung von Salpetersäure, und v) Rückführung zumindest eines Teils des die Salpetersäureanlage (200) verlassenden, Oxide des Stickstoffs enthaltenden Restgases in die Ammoniakanlage (100).
