Abstract

MÉTODO E SISTEMA DE PRODUÇÃO DE ÁCIDO NÍTRICO. Em um método de produção de ácido nítrico, os óxidos de nitrogênio são primeiramente produzidos em um sistema de combustão de amônia (2) e resfriados em um condensador (3) para formar uma solução contendo ácido nítrico. A solução contendo ácido nítrico é então alimentada a pelo menos uma torre de absorção (4, 5) na qual os óxidos de nitrogênio são colocados em contacto com água e oxigênio, em que a mistura gasosa contendo nitrogênio reage com a água e o oxigênio pelo menos parcialmente para formar uma solução aquosa contendo ácido nítrico que se acumula no fundo da torre de absorção (4, 5) e é depois comprimida e devolvida à torre de absorção (4, 5) através de um duto (12, 14, 21). A fim de minimizar a concentração de óxidos de nitrogênio nos gases residuais de um tal sistema e aumentar a eficiência do processo, propõe-se, de acordo com a invenção, alimentar o ozônio a um duto de ligação (12) que conduz do condensador (3) a uma primeira torre de absorção (4) contendo a solução de ácido nítrico.
