De onderhavige uitvinding heeft betrekking op N-gesubsti-tueerde nitranethyleen-tetrahydrothiazinen, op werkwijzen voor hun bereiding en pp hun gebruik als pesticiden, in het bijzonder tegen schadelijke insékten.
5 2^itraiethyleen-tetrahydro-»2H-l, 3-thia2inen en hun gebruik als pesticiden zijn bekend uit het Britse octrooischrift 1.513.951. Ofschoon deze thiazinen een hoge mate aan insekticide-werkzaamheid bezitten, hebben zij echter het nadeel dat zij niet bestendig zijn tegen licht en derhalve weinig persistentie onder 10 veldanstandigfaeden vertonen. Aanvraagster heeft thans gevonden dat dit lichtbestendigheidsprobleem cpgelost kan worden door toepassing van een nieuwe klasse thiazinen met insekticide-werk-zaamheid.
De uitvinding verschaft derhalve N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitro-15 methyleen) tetrahydro-2H-l,3-thiazinen met de formule: 8300984 * r - 2 -^3(0» /Η «» R—S0o C 2 \ no2 waarin R een alkyl- of alkenylgroep met ten hoogste 26 koolstof-atomsn voorstelt? of een alkylgroep die gesubstitueerd is door één of meer halogeenatanen, of door een alkoxy-, alkoxycarbonyl-, alkanoyloxy-, oxobicycloalkyl-, cycloimido-, eventueel gesubsti-5 tueerde fenyl- of fenoxy-, of trialkylsilylgroep of door een quatemaire ammoniumgroep met de formule: O' ϊφΐ+- 10 waarin elke R^-groep een alkylgroep en Q een eenwaardig anion is en n gelijk is aan 0 of 1.
R stelt bij voorkeur een alkylgroep met ten hoogste 20 koolstofatcmen voor, bijvoorbeeld methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, isobutyl, pentyl, mathylpentyl, hexyl, heptyl, octyl, nonyl, 15 dodecyl, tetradecyl, hexadecyl, of (trimethylbutyl) trimethyl-octyl; een alkenylgroep met ten hoogste 6 koolstof atomen, bijvoorbeeld methyIpropenyl; een alkylgroep met ten hoogste 4 koolstof atomen, bijvoorbeeld methyl, ethyl of propyl, gesubstitueerd door ten hoogste 3 fluor-, chloor-, broom- of jodium-20 atcmen, door een alkoxy-, alkoxycarbonyl- of alkancylaxygroep met ten hoogste 6 koolstofatanen, bijvoorbeeld ethoxy, methoxy-carbonyl of acetoxy, door een oxobicycloalkylgroep met ten hoogste 10 koolstof atomen, bijvoorbeeld dimethyl-axobicyclo-heptyl, door een ftalimidegroep, door een fenyl- of fenaxygroep 25 die eventueel gesubstitueerd is door een of meer substituenten die gekozen zijn uit de groep bestaande uit halogeenatanen (fluor, chloor of broom) en alkyl-, alkoxycarbonyl- en trihalo-methylgroepen met ten hoogste 6 koolstofatomen (bijvoorbeeld methyl, methaxycarbonyl, ethoxycarbonyl en trifluormethyl), door 8 3 0 0 9 8 4 τ> - 3 - een triaUcylsilylgroep waarin elke alkyl 1-6 koolstofatanen bevat, bijvoorbeeld trimethylsilyl, of door een guatemaire annrmiumgroep roet de fonraile: θ"ιφι+- waarin elke K-greep een alkylgroep met 1-6 koolstofatanen is, 5 bijvoorbeeld etbyl, en Q*" een halogenide-ion is, bijvoorbeeld chloride, branide of jodide, en waarin n 0 of 1 is.
Meer in het bijzonder hebben de bij voorkeur toegepaste verbindingen volgens de uitvinding de algemene formule I, waarin R een alkylgroep voorstelt roet 1-20 koolstofatanen, een alkenyl-10 groep roet 2-4 koolstofatanen, een haloalkylgroep met 1-4 koolstofatanen en 1-3 fluor-, chloor-, brocnt- of jodiumsubstituenten, een alkaxyalkylgroep roet in totaal 2-4 koolstofatanen, een alkcKycarfaonylalkyl- of alkanoylcKyalkylgroep met in totaal 3-5 koolstofatanen, een kamferylgroep, een f talimidoalkylgroep 15 waarin de alkylgroep 1-4 koolstofatanen bevat, een fenylalkyl-greep waarin de alkylgroep 1-4 koolstofatanen bevat, een halobenzylgroep bevattende 1, 2 of 3 chloor-, fluor- of broanatanen, een trifluorroethylbenzylgroep, een methylbenzyl-groep, een alkaxycarbanylbenzylgroep waarin de alkaxycarbonyl-20 groep 2-5 koolstofatanen bevat, een halofenoxyalkylgroep waarin het halogeen chloor, fluor of broem is en de alkylgroep 1-4 koolstofatanen bevat, een trimethylsilylalkylgroep waarin de alkylgroep 1-4 koolstofatanen bevat, of een alkyl-trialkyl-antrioniuinhalogenidegroep waarin elke alkylgroep 1-3 koolstof-25 atanen bevat, en waarin n gelijk is aan 0 of 1.
Bet zal duidelijk zijn dat de verbindingen volgens formule I in verschillende geometrisch isanere vormen kunnen bestaan. De uitvinding omvat zowel de afzonderlijke isaneren als mengsels van dergelijke iscmeren.
30 De uitvinding onvat een werkwijze voor het bereiden van de N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitranetbyleen) -tetrahydro-2H-l, 3-thiazinen van formule I, waarin n = 0, welke werkwijze onvat het in 8300984 0 Λ· - 4 - reactie brengen van de verbinding volgens formule: (Π)

no2 met een sulfonylhalogenide met de formule: R-S02-Hal waarin R bovengenoemde betekenis heeft en Hal een halogeen voorstelt, bij voorkeur een chlooratoan in aanwezigheid van een 5 base. De base is bij voorkeur een organische base zoals een tertiaire amine, bijvoorbeeld een trialkylamine, waarbij triëthyl-amine in het bijzonder de voorkeur geniet. De reactie wordt uitgevoerd bij een temperatuur van 0°C of lager, bijvoorbeeld bij een temperatuur van -75 tot -10 °C. De reactie wordt geschikt 10 uitgevoerd in een organisch oplosmiddel, bijvoorbeeld een gechloreerde koolwaterstof zoals dichloormethaan, een ether zoals tetrahydrofuran of dimethylformamide.
Het kan geschikter zijn bepaalde verbindingen van formule I waarin R een gesubstitueerde alkylgroep is, te bereiden door 15 middel van andere, bekende methoden waarbij een substituent vervangen wordt door een andere. Voorbeelden van dergelijke vervangingsreacties worden gegeven in onderstaande voorbeelden 34 en 35 voor respectievelijk de vervanging van chloor door jodium, en van jodium door trialkylammonium.
20 De verbindingen volgens formule I, waarin n gelijk is aan 1, kunnen bereid worden door de overeenkomstige derivaten waarin n gelijk is aan 0, te oxideren. Dit kan worden uitgevoerd door gebruik te maken van gebruikelijke oxidatiemiddelen, bijvoorbeeld perzuren zoals m-chloorperbenzeencarbonzuur of kalium-25 permanganaat, of kaliumhydropersulfaat. Het te oxideren derivaat 8300984 ' -r - 5 - wordt geschikt opgelost in een geschikt oplosmiddel, bijvoorbeeld een gechloreerd koolwaterstof-oplosmiddel zoals chloroform of dichloormethaan, of een vloeibare alkanol zoals ethanol.
Zoals hierboven vermeld, zijn de N-gesubstitueerde 5 2-(nitrcrnethyleen)-tetrahydro-2H-l,3-thiazinen volgens de xrltvinding van belang als pesticiden, in het bijzonder tegen schadelijke insekten. Zij zijn werkzaam tegen ongedierte zoals de larvenvonnen van rups- of wormachtige insekten, bijvoorbeeld van de soort Spodoptera en van de soort Heliothis. De verbin-dingen vertonen ook een aanvaardbare bestendigheid ten opzichte van licht en oxidatie.
Tot de uitvinding behoren derhalve pesticide-preparaten omvattende een gesubstitueerde 2- (nitrcmethyleen) -tetxahydro-2H-1,3-thiazine volgens de uitvinding samen met een drager.
15 Een dergelijk preparaat kan een enkelvoudige verbinding of een mengsel van verscheidene verbindingen volgens de uitvinding bevatten. Aangezien verschillende isaneren of mengsels van iscmeren verschillende gradaties of vormen van werkzaamheid kunnen bezitten kunnen dergelijke preparaten afzonderlijke 20 isaneren of mengsels van isaneren bevatten. De uitvinding heeft verder betrekking op een werkwijze voor het bestrijden van ongedierte, in het bijzonder schadelijke insekten, op een plaats die besmet is door, of waarvoor besmetting dreigt van, dergelijke ongedierten, welke werkwijze orroat het ter plaatse aanbrengen 25 van een voor pesticidedoeleinden geschikte hoeveelheid van een verbinding of preparaat volgens de onderhavige uitvinding.
Het werkzame bestanddeel wordt geschikt gemengd met ten minste één drager ten einde het aanbrengen daarvan op het te behandelen voorwerp, dat bijvoorbeeld een plant, zaad of bodem 30 kan zijn, dan wel de opslag, het transport of de verwerking ervan te vergemakkelijken. De drager in een preparaat volgens de uitvinding kan een vaste stof of een vloeistof zijn, alsmede een materiaal dat gewoonlijk gasvormig is, doch tot een vloeistof is samengeperst. Elke gewoonlijk bij het samenstellen van pesti-35 ciden gebruikte drager kan in de preparaten volgaas de 8300984 - 6 - uitvinding worden toegepast. Geschikte vaste dragers zijn natuurlijke en synthetische materialen. Geschikte vloeibare dragers zijn water; alcoholen, zoals isopropanol en glycolen; ketenen, zoals aceton, methylethylketon, methylisbbutylketon en 5 cyclohexanon; ethers; aromatische of aralifatische koolwaterstoffen, zoals benzeen, tolueen en xyleen; aardoliefracti.es, zoals kerosine en lichte minerale oliën; gechloreerde koolwaterstoffen, zoals tetrachloorkoolstof, perchlooretheen en trichloorethaan. Mengsels van verschillende vloeistoffen zijn 10 vaak geschikt.
Een preparaat volgens de uitvinding bevat bij voorkeur ten minste twee dragers, waarvan ten minste een een oppervlakactieve stof is. De oppervlakactive stof kan een emulgeermiddel, een dispergeermiddel of een bevochtingingsmiddel zijn. De stof kan 15 niet-ionogeen of ionogeen zijn. Pesticidepreparaten worden in het algemeen in een geconcentreerde vorm bereid en getransporteerd, en vervolgens door de boer of andere gebruiker vóór gebruik verdund. Een oppervlakactieve stof vergemakkelijkt deze verdunningswerkwij ze.
20 Preparaten volgens de uitvinding bevatten bij voorkeur 0,5 tot 95 gew.% werkzaam bestanddeel, waarbij het restant gevormd wordt door de drager of dragers.
Het preparaat volgens de uitvinding kan bijvoorbeeld worden samengesteld in de vorm van een spuitpoeder, een stuifpoeder, 25 korrels, een oplossing, een emulgeerbaar concentraat, een emulsie, een suspensie-concentraat of een aerosol. Het preparaat kan geregelde afgifte-eigenschappen hebben, of het kan geschikt zijn voor gebruik als lokaas.
Spuitpoeders bevatten gewoonlijk 25, 50 of 75% werkzaam 30 bestanddeel en kunnen behalve inert vast materiaal ook 3-10 gew.% van een dispergeermiddel en, indien noodzakelijk, 0-10 gew.% van een stabiliseermiddel, een penetreermiddel of een kleefmiddel bevatten. Een stuifpoeder wordt gewoonlijk geformuleerd in de vorm van een stuifpoederconcentraat met een samenstelling die 35 overeenkomt met die van een spuitpoeder doch zonder een disper- 8300984

- 7 - geermiddel, en wordt ter plaatse met een verdere hoeveelheid vaste drager verdund tot een preparaat dat gewoonlijk 0,5-10 gew.% werkzaam bestanddeel bevat.
Korrels hebben gewoonlijk een grootte die een maaswijdte, 5 volgens British Standards, van 10-100 mesh passeert (1,676- 0,152 urn) en kunnen worden bereid met behulp van aggiomereer- of impregneertechnieken. Korrels bevatten in het algemeen 0,5-75 gew.% werkzaam bestanddeel en 0-10 gew.% toevoegsels, zoals stabiiiseermiddelen, oppervlakactieve stoffen, middelen die een 10 langzame afgifte van het werkzame bestanddeel bewerkstelligen en j bindmiddelen.
Emulgeerbare concentraten bevatten gewoonlijk, naast een oplosmiddel en - indien vereist - een hulpoplosmiddel, 10-50 gew./vol.% werkzaam bestanddeel, 2-20 gew./vol% emulgeermiddel 15 en 0-20 gew./vol.% van andere toevoegsels zoals een stabiliseer-middel, een penetreermiddel en een corrosiewerende stof. Een suspensiecancentraat is een stabiel, niet-sedimentvormend, vrij-vloeiend produkt en bevat gewoonlijk 10-75 gew.% werkzaam bestanddeel, 0,5-15 gew.% dispergeermiddel, 0,1-10 gew.% suspen-20 deermiddel, zoals een schut-colloïd en/of een thixotroop middel, en 0-10 gew.% van andere toevoegsels, zoals een schuhtwerend middel, een corrosie-werende stof, een stabiliseenniddel, een penetreermiddel en/of een kleefmiddel, en als dispergeermiddel water of een organische vloeistof waarin het werkzame bestand-25 deel nagenoeg onoplosbaar is; bepaalde organische toevoegsels en/of anorganische zouten kunnen in het dispergeermiddel worden opgelost cm sedimentatie te helpen voorkomen of als anti-vriesmiddel voor water.
De waterige dispersies en emulsies die verkregen zijn door 30 verdunning van een spuitpoeder of een emulgeerbaar concentraat volgens de uitvinding met water, vallen eveneens binnen het kader van de onderhavige uitvinding. Dergelijke dispersies en emulsies kunnen van het water-in-olie- of het oHe-in-watertype zijn, en kunnen een dikke "mayonaise''-achtige consistentie 35 bezitten.

Een preparaat volgens de uitvinding kan ook andere bestanddelen bevatten, bijvoorbeeld een of meer andere verbindingen met pesticide-eigenschappen. Verder kunnen verbindingen met insekticide-werkzaamheid worden opgenanen, in het bijzonder 5 verbindingen die op een verschillende wijze of in een andere vorm werkzaam zijn.
Het is ook gebleken dat de thermische stabiliteit van de verbindingen en preparaten volgens de uitvinding verbeterd kunnen worden door toevoeging van hoeveelheden stabiliseermiddel, 10 gewoonlijk 10-100 gew.%, berekend op de verbinding van bepaalde organische stikstofverbindingen zoals ureum, dialkylurea, thiourea of guanidinezouten, of alkalimetaa Izouten van zwakke zuren zoals bicarbonaten, acetaten of benzoaten.
De uitvinding zal aan de hand van de volgende voorbeelden 15 nader worden toegelicht.

Methaansulfonylchloride (20 g) in methyleenchloride (150 ml) 20 werd gedurende 55 minuten druppelsgewijs toegevoegd aan een mengsel van 2-nitromethyleen-tetrahydro-2H-l, 3-thiazine (20 g) en triëthylamine (40 ml) in methyleenchloride (150 ml) dat bij -30 °C onder stikstof werd geroerd. Het reactiemengsel werd ' gedurende nog 30 minuten bij -30 °C geroerd en daarna met 2% HC1 25 gewassen. De waterige laag werd tweemaal met methyleenchloride gewassen en de gecombineerde organische fracties werden boven natriumsulfaat gedroogd, tot ongeveer 50 ml geconcentreerd en tot 0°C gekoeld. Het kristallijne produkt werd afgefiltreerd en de kristallen werden verscheidene malen met koude methyleen-30 chloride getritureerd.
Door chronatografie van de moederloog (SiO^ (600 g) / Oi^C^ïCH^OH 99:1) werd nog meer produkt (0,77 g) verkregen.

Methode B
2-Nitrcroethyleen-tetrahydro-2H-l,3-thiazine (3 mol., 480 g) werd opgelost in dichloormethaan (3 1). De oplossing werd tot -70°C gekoeld en triëthylamine (6 mol.; 606 g) werd bij -70°C ^0 toegevoegd. Deze oplossing werd bij -65 tot -70 °C onder een laag N2 geroerd, terwijl een oplossing van methylsulfonylchloride * (6 mol.; 687 g) opgelost in dichloormethaan gedurende 6 uur druppelsgewijs werd toegevoegd. Een mengsel van het gewenste produkt werd in de vorm van een dikke brij neergeslagen, en deze werd bij -70°C afgefiltreerd, en bij omgevingstemperatuur gedroogd. De aldus gevormde koek werd met water gewassen ten einde liet triëthylaminehydrochloride te verwijderen, en het overgebleven produkt (446 g) had de vorm van een kristallijne vaste stof.

Aan een oplossing van de verbinding van Voorbeeld 1 (1,56 g) in methyleenchloride (70 ml) bij -15°C onder stikstof werd 5 gedurende 5 minuten n-cfaloarperbenzeencarbonzuur (1,56 g) in methyleenchloride (50 ml) toegevoegd. Het mengsel werd daarna gedurende 1 uur bij kamertemperatuur geroerd. Vast natrium-carbcnaat (5 g) werd toegevoegd, het mengsel gedurende 5 minuten geroerd en daarna door natriumcarbonaat gefiltreerd. Het oplos- j 10 middel werd onder verlaagde druk verwijderd. Door herkristalli-satie van het produkt uit methyleenchloride werd het sulfoxide (1,44 g) verkregen.

VOORBEELD 29 j 3- (3-chloorprqpyl) sulfonyl-2-nitranethyleen-tetrahydro-2H-l, 3-thiazine-l-cxide wérd op een wijze die overeenkomt met die van Voorbeeld 12 bereid in de vorm van een olie. i 20 VOORBEELD 30 3- (2,6-dicfaloorfenylmethylsulfonyl) -2- (nitranethyleen) -tetrahydro-2H-1,3-thiazine 2-(Nitraiethyleen)-tetrahydro-2H-l,3-thiazine (3,2 g) en Ν,Ν-di-isopropylethylamina (5,2 g), werden tezamen in dimethyl-25 formamide opgelost. De oplossing werd tot een temperatuur van -40°C tot -50°C gekoeld en daaraan werd over een periode van 1 uur 2,6-dichloorbenzylsulfonylchloride (7,8 g) in kleine hoeveelheden van ongeveer 0,1 g toegevoegd. Het mengsel werd tot omgevingstemperatuur verwarmd, gedurende een periode van 1 uur 30 geroerd en daarna in 500 ml van een ijs/watermengsel gegoten, waaraan enkele druppels lage HC1 waren toegevoegd. De aldus gevormde vaste stof werd afgefiltreerd, met water gewassen en in dichloormethaan opgencmen. De oplossing werd gedroogd (MgSOj) 8300984 t * - 16 - en het oplosmiddel werd daarna onder verlaagde druk verwijderd. Door het residu uit ethylacetaat te herkristalliseren werd het gewenste produkt verkregen in de vorm van een gele kristallijne vaste stof met een smeltpunt van 170 °C.

De verbinding van Voorbeeld 8 (10 g) in aceton (700 ml) 5 werd gedurende 16 uur onder terugvloeikoeling met natriumj odide (17,5 g) verhit. Daarna werd het oplosmiddel onder verlaagd druk verwijderd en het residu werd met water en dichloormethaan in twee fasen verdeeld. De organische fase werd gedroogd (MgS04) en het oplosmiddel werd daarna onder verlaagde druk verwijderd. 10 Door het residu uit dichloormethaan te herkristalliseren werd het verlangde prodükt verkregen in de vorm van een gele kristal-lijne vaste stof met een smeltpunt van 106-109°C.

De verbinding van Voorbeeld 34 (4,0 g) en triëthylamine 20 (1,3 g) in ethylacetaat werden gedurende 53 uur onder terug vloeikoeling verhit. Het reactiemengsel werd gekoeld en het gevormde neerslag werd afgefiltreerd en uit ethanol geherkris-talliseerd waardoor het gewenste produkt verkregen werd in de vorm van een gele kristallijne vaste stof met een smeltpunt van 25 150-157°C.

De insekticide-werkzaamheid van de verbindingen werd aangetoond door deze toe te passen tegen de Egyptische katoenblad-j 5 kever (Spodoptera littoralis). De toegepaste beproevingsmethode is hieronder vermeld.
Oplossingen of suspensies van de verbinding werden in een reeks van concentraties bereid in 10% aceton/water bevattende 0,025% Triton X1Q0 ("Triton" is een gedeponeerd handelsmerk).
-j_q Deze oplossingen werden door middel van een logaritmische spuitmachine op Petri-schalen gespoten bevattende een rijke voedingsbodem waarop de Spodoptere littoralis-larven waren gekweekt. Toen de opgespoten laag was opgedroogd werd elke schaal besmet met 10 in de tweede ontwikkelingsperiode ver-«L5 kerende larven. 7 dagen na het spuiten werd het sterftepercentage bepaald.
In elke proef werd uit de sterftecijfers een LC^q voor de verbinding berekend en vergeleken met de overeenkanstige LC5Q voor het in dezelfde proeven gebruikte ethylparation. De 20 resultaten worden uitgedrukt in de vorm van een giftigheids index = ^50 (paration) ----X 100 "dO (proefverb inding) en zijn vermeld in onderstaande Tabel 4.

Pesticide-werkzaamheid - Proeven op het blad
Deze serie proeven illustreert de insekticide-werkzaamheid van de verbindingen volgens de uitvinding door bespoten bladeren 5 van Chinese kool te besmetten met de larven -van Spodoptera littoralis en de giftigheidsindices te berekenen op dezelfde wijze als in het vorige Voorbeeld. De toegepaste beproevings-methode was als volgt:
De verbindingen werden voor spuitdoeleinden bereid als 10 oplossingen of suspensies van technisch materiaal in 10% waterige acetonoplossing, welke 0,025% Triton XL00 als bevochtiglngsmiddel bevatte. Van elke te beproeven verbinding werd een aantal verdunningen op een serie Petri-schalen gespoten, elk voorzien van een 9 cm-brede bladschijf van een Chinese-15 koolblad. Het bladmateriaal werd voor het opvangen van de 8300984 * ' - 23 - sproeilaag met het benedenoppervlak boven liggend op de schalen geplaatst. Nadat men de bladeren had laten drogen, werd elke schaal met 10, op bladeren gekweekte, in de vroege vierde ontwikkelingsperiode verkerende Spodoptera-larven besmet, en 5 onder labaratorimnnstandigheden gehouden totdat 24 uur later het sterftepercentage werd bepaald.
De werkzaamheid van de beproefde verbindingen is, in de vorm van een giftigheidsindex, vermeld in onderstaande Tabel 5.

Lichtbestendiffieidsproeven
Dit voorbeeld illustreert de lichtbestendigheid van de verbindingen volgens de uitvinding en vergelijkt de resultaten 5 met die van één van de bekende, nauw verwante thiazinen welke beschreven zijn in Voorbeeld 1, van het Britste octrooischrift 1.513.951.
Van elke verbinding werd een monster (10 mg) qpgelost in zuivere aceton (10 cm3) en een deel (1 cm3) overgebracht naar 10 een kwartsbuis (10 om lang, 1 cm binnendiameter). Door het oplosmiddel met behulp van een luchtstroon af te blazen en de buis voortdurend te schudden, vormde zich in de buis een dunne film. De buis werd met een stop afgesloten en tezamen met, als vergelijkingsmateriaal dienende, met aluminium af gedékte buizen 15 blootgesteld aan een zonnesimulator. Na 5, 20 of 50 uur aan bestraling te zijn blootgesteld, werd de inhoud van de buis opgelost in zuivere acetonitril en geanalyseerd door middel van in omgekeerde fase toegepaste vloeistofchrcmatografie met een hoge nauwkeurigheidgraad (Eng. = h.p.l.c.). De zonnesimulator 20 had een spectrale verdeling gelijk aan die van daglicht en een intensiteit van ongeveer 0,5 tot 0,3 maal die van het licht op een heldere zanerdag in het zuiden van Engeland.
De resultaten van deze proeven, uitgedrukt als het percentage teruggewonnen verbinding na blootstelling gedurende 5, 25 20 en 50 uur, zijn vermeld in Tabel 6.
Uit de resultaten vermeld in Tabel 6 blijkt dat de verbindingen volgens de uitvinding een lichtbestendigheid hebben die ver uitsteekt boven die van tot de stand der techniek behorende verbindingen zoals weergegeven door Voorbeeld 1 van het Britse 30 octrooischrift 1.513.951.

N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitronethyleen) -tetrah.ydro-2H-l, 3-thiazinen met de formule: O». χΗ (I> R-SCL C 2 I N02 waarin R een alkyl- of alkenylgroep met ten hoogste 26 koolstof-atcmen voorstelt; of een alkylgroep die gesubstitueerd is door 5 een of meer halogeenatanen, of door een alkaxy-, alkaxycarbonyl-, alkanoyloxy-, oxobicycloalkyl-, cycloimido-, een eventueel gesubstitueerde fenyl- of fenoxy-, of trialkylsilylgrcep of door een quatemaire ammoniumgroep met de formule: Cf ϊφϊ+- waarin elke R^-groep een alkylgroep, en Q~ een eerwaardig anion 10 is; en n gelijk is aan 0 of 1.

N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitranethyleen) -tetrahydro-2H-l, 3-thiazinen volgens conclusie 1, met het kenmerk, dat R een alkylgroep met ten hoogste 20 koolstofatanen voorstelt; een alkenylgroep met ten hoogste 6 koolstof atcmen, een alkylgroep 15 met ten hoogste 4 koolstofatanen gesubstitueerd door ten hoogste 3 fluor-, chloor-, broom- of jodium-atamen, door een alkcxy-, alkaxycarbonyl- of alkanoylaxygroep met ten hoogste .6 koolstofatanen, door een oxobicycloalkylgroep met ten hoogste 10 koolstofatanen, door een ftalimidegroep, door een fenyl- of 20 fenoxygroep die eventueel gesubstitueerd is door één of meer substituenten gekozen uit de groep bestaande uit halogeenatanen en alkyl-, alkaxycarbonyl- en trihaloalkylgroepen met ten hoogste 6 koolstofatanen; door een trialkylsilylgroep waarin 8300304 y· - 27 - elke alkyl 1-6 koolstofatanen heeft; of door een. quatemaire amnrniumgrcep met de formule: Q- waarin elke R^-groep een alkylgroep met 1-6 koolstofatanen en qT een halogenide-ion is; en waarin n gelijk is aan 0 of 1. 5

N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitrcmethyleen) -tetrahydro-2H-l, 3- thiazinen volgens conclusie 1 of 2, met het kenmerk, dat R een alkylgroep met 1-20 koolstofatanen voorstelt, een alkenylgroep met 2-4 koolstofatanen, een haloalkylgroep met 1-4 koolstofatanen en 1-3 fluor-, chloor-, broatt- of jodiumsubstituenten, -j_q een alkaxyalkylgroep met in totaal 2-4 koolstofatanen, een alkaxycarbcraylalkyl- of alkancylaxyalkylgroep met in totaal 3-5 koolstofatanen, een kamferylgroep, een ftalimidoalkylgroep waarin de alkylgroep 1-4 koolstofatanen bevat, een fenylalkylgroep waarin de alkylgroep 1-4 koolstofatanen bevat, een halogeenbenzyl-groep met 1, 2 of 3 chloor-, fluor- of broanatanen bevat, een trif luormethylbenzylgroep, een methylbenzy lgroep, een alkaxycar-bonylbenzylgroep waarin de alkcKycazbonylgroep 2-5 koolstofatanen bevat, een halofenaxyalkylgroep waarin het halogeen chloor, fluor of broan is en de alkylgroep 1-4 koolstofatanen bevat, een 20 trimethylsilylalkylgroep waarin de alkylgroep 1-4 koolstofatanen bevat, of een alkyltrialkylammoniumhalogenidegroep waarin elke alkylgroep 1-3 koolstofatanen bevat; en n = 0 of 1.
4. N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitrcmethyleen) -tetrahydro-2H-l, 3- thiazinen volgens conclusie 1, specifiek hierin beschreven.
5. Werkwijze voor het bereiden van N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitranehtyleen) -tetrahydro-2H-l, 3-thiazinen volgens conclusie 1, met het kenmerk, dat een verbinding met de formule r^s^n (11) H CH I no2 8300984 '4 ** t " - 28 - in reactie wordt gébracht met een sulfonylhalogerd.de met de -formule: R-S02-Hal (III) waarin R en n de betekenis hebben zoals gedefinieerd in conclusie 1, en Hal een halogeenatoan voorstelt, in aanwezigheid van een base, en het aldus verkregen produkt eventueel wordt geoxideerd onder vorming van een verbinding waarin n = 1.
6. Vferkwijze volgens conclusie 5, met het kenmerk, dat de reactie uitgevoerd wordt bij een temperatuur van 0°C of lager.
7. Pesticide-preparaat omvattende een N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitrcmethyleen) -tetrahydro-2H-l, 3-thiazine volgens één der conclusies 1-4, tezamen met een drager.
8. Preparaat volgens conclusie 7, met het kenmerk, dat eveneens een thermisch stabiliseringsmiddel aanwezig is.
9. Methode voor het bestrijden van ongedierten op een plaats ^ die besmet is met, of waarvoor besmetting dreigt van dergelijk ongedierte, welke methode cmvat het ter plaatse aanbrengen van een voor pesticide-doeleindsn geschikte hoeveelheid van een N-gesubstitueerde 2- (nitromethyleen) -tetrahydro-2H-l, 3-thiazine volgens één der conclusies 1-5 of een preparaat volgens con-2q clusie 8 of 9.
