IN RESPONSE TO A CHANGE IN POLARITY IN MAGNETIC POLES DETECTED BY ROTOR ANGLE SENSORS (29) THE DRIVER (46) READS OUT A RETARD QUANTITY STORED IN A RETARD QUANTITY SETTING UNIT (49) AND RETARD-ENERGIZES STATOR WINDINGS.
